Heaps of easy fun

This is a great product. My 5 year old loves running around with it. You need a good strong wind to keep it aloft without moving, but even a light breeze is good enough it you are going at 5 year old running speed. 5 year old was able to handle it in a very strong wind as well. The bonus is that there are no sticks, so we needn't worry about crashes. It packs easily in a purse/ diaper bag/ day pack. I'm so impressed, I'll be buying these for birthday presents for my kids' friends.

I purchased a prism zenith 5, and it was so easy and fun to fly that I wanted to try a different prism kite. So I went cheap and picked up this pocket flyer. I live in the windy north end of Puerto Rico, and I just spent 40 mins trying to get this kite to fly more than 3 minutes. It was frustrating to try and launch it by myself with perfect wind conditions. The front end kept folding down, or the kite would fold inside out, but it never picked up the right gust to launch. So far, it was a regrettable purchase. I’m returning it and buying the zenith, or a kite that has some type of stiffener bars.

Great flyer once I realized it was upside down

This kite flys really well. I spent a solid 15 to 20 minutes trying to fly it with the white boxes facing the ground and it kept folding in on itself and crashing. One gust after a crash had it flipped with the boxes toward the sky and it flew great! If you are struggling with the kite flip it over even though it seems counter intuitive. It will fly really well.

Extremely easy set up and launch

I absolutely love this kite and I'm already giving it to friends as a gift. You need a kite for your inner kid! I live near a hill that's ideal for kite flying and have had perfect flights every time. Not sure what difficulty other folks are having, the setup couldn't be easier, just clip the line to the kite and go. Love not having to mess with any poles.

Excellent quality kite for price/beginners! Buy!

I'm truly impressed with this kite. I randomly bought it on a whim because there was a 20% off coupon and I had exactly 22 bucks in REI reward cash. I genuinely had forgotten just how fun it is to fly a kite. I even spent the first hour flying it inside out (doh!) and even through the frustration it was fun. When it clicked and I finally flew it right, I knew I'd be buying another kite for my gf because 1 is not enough! The material of the kite is excellent, there is more than enough string for casual flying, and it truly is compact. PAY ATTENTION TO HOW ITS FOLDED! I didn't and sure enough it isn't as neat as when it was first purchased, but its still mostly in the bag. I should also add - for being a compact foldable kite is truly is impressive. The material is very free flowing and doesn't stay wrinkled. Last but not least this kite is excellent with take off and overall performance. We only had inconsistent 9mph winds today and it was more than enough to keep it up.

Lovely kite for moderate wind.

Moderate wind is best because at a gusty Florida beach, these were difficult to fly. Perhaps a calmer day will be better. It is a very pretty kite and folds up nicely. Durable and colorful material.

Quality Kite and a simple joy to fly!

These kites are fantastic single line kites! I really like how small they fold up (stuff in a sack) and how easy they unfurl and fly in a light to medium strong wind. The build quality is solid for such a light fabric and I’ve had ones for over 6 years. I like to have one in each of my vehicles so when the wind or the mood hits I can start flying. It’s actually pretty cool to have a kite when you are in a windy place, and people are genuinely interested and it puts a smile on their face when you ask them if they want to fly it. I think people forget what a simple joy flying a kite (even a single line) is, but they sure appreciate it when they see one. I’ve probably sold a dozen of these over the years. I really should get a commission lol.

Easiest kite ever

I am awful at flying kites. This managed to make it into the air and stay there a couple minutes without my running. That is a 100% improvement over the entire rest of my life, and made my child happy. It has been less windy since then, and so less successful. It is also much easier to pack and unpack than any other kite I've used, and it is pretty.

Purchased two of these for my son and his cousin to use during vacation on Oregon coast. They were perfect... incredibly easy to assemble and use. Walked for miles with them.
