Sizing completely off

As the previous reviewer noted, the ankles aren't wide enough to get over my feet. One problem is that the sizing chart on this REI website is much larger than the sizing on the Trek/Bontrager website. I think this site just copied the Pearl Izumi sizing, which seemed way too big for me. I'm a commuter and recreational rider, so my thighs aren't gigantic like the Pearl Izumi seem to assume. Going off the Trek sizing chart, it looked like I needed a size XS because of my 8.5" ankles and 19" thighs, even though I'm usually a medium in almost everything else. Even after adding ankle zippers to allow these to fit over my feet, the ankles and thighs seem a bit tight, though the length is a bit long. At least they haven't slid down. I probably should have gone up a size or two. So, if possible, try these on first, but if that is not an option, consider sizing up. And of course, make sure the ankle dimension takes into account trying to fit it over your foot.

Poor Sizing

I found these in the clearance basket at REI and bought them before reading the review. Immediately returned them after attempting to put them on and not being able to get them over my feet. No, my fee are only a size ten. What's incredible is that REI keeps trying to sell these sleeves in spite of the defect.

Ankle opening too small

I really like how light the fabric for sun protection, but the ankle opening is just way too tight and frustrating to put on.

must need small feet

The ankle opening is so small on these leg covers that I can get them on. No way. No how. I can get only half way on to my foot. The opening is too small to fit over my heel. Need to return. Ido have big feet size 12. The leggings are a size large. Never had this problem before.

disappointing

The ankle opening is so small I can’t get it over my foot to put it on. So they are not useable and will have to be returned. Very disappointing.

Being very concerned about the lifetime sun exposure I have had, I found these while browsing for another item at REI. They are a great solution - lightweight, easy to wear and comfortable. I ride and powerwalk daily, often in full sun in extreme heat, and these worked out very well. They launder and air dry easily.Very happy with my purchase!

They both slide ALL THE TIME!!!

I've been trying this for almost a year, and have to say it really disappoints me! It is warm yes, but the sticky part around thigh doesn't really work so they drop all the time, plus now it develops holes! Very disappointed.

Small ankle opening and weak seam

It did stay on all day but it is a chore to put on and take off because of the small ankle opening despite my size 7 feet.

too small and thin

Leg covers are too thin and appear to be made from thin material. Order at least two sizes up if you plan to order
