I use this carabiner on an almost daily basis. It's become my default to attach gear to my bag on the weekends and I carry it in my bag during the week - it's very versatile! The spring lock mechanism is quick, smooth, and clicks with a sound so you know it's closed. There's enough force that I don't find the carabiner accidentally open and I've not had anything unclip unintentionally. The carabiner is large and bears weight well, the thin profile also makes it easy to attach smaller items. The thumb groove is a nice touch, and feels a little more luxurious than other carabiners and clips. After at least 100 uses, it's still reliable and going strong.
This carabiner is easy to use and super burly. The gate action is nice and responsive. I like the little indent in the gate that perfectly fits my thumb so it stays in place while opening. I have larger hands (I usually wear a men's size large or extra-large glove) and this carabiner feels perfectly sized for me. There's also no hook on the nose of the carabiner to snag on rope or on nuts. The inside of the carabiner is wide and flattened, providing a smoother surface for ropes. It's definitely bigger and a little heavier than other carabiners, but I don't mind that. I don't typically carry enough gear or do longer routes where that could make more of a difference and I prefer the peace of mind of super reliable gear. This isn't quite the intended use, but I've also used these as part of a hammock setup. They're overbuilt for that, but they're easy to use and make it faster and easier to set up and take down the hammock.
