Great for runs and hikes, BUT don't over tighten

Let me start with REI is great about returns. I have had product for 6 months. I really like Amphipod 10K for running (used in long workouts and half-marathon). I find super convenient for hiking when need less than a camel pack and able to grab drink quickly. I find it does not bounce, clips in and stays in. I don't use the pouch for phone, but for snacks and keys which I find adequate sizing. Bottles are easy to squeeze on the go. Can clean by dishwasher, but if put in powder sport drinks, need to hand clean out with brush. Okay, if I like it so much, why the return? A leak around the cap developed in one bottle and was a problem if more than 3/4 filled. After consultation with Amphipod (REI provided number), I came to learn that I broke the threads by over tightening. A person should twist on and then confirm connection is secure (add a slight twist if air coming out). I double checked the instructions and reviews, and see no mention of over tightening. Amphipod and I just had email (their methods for returns) drops, that I came back to REI. Though I just wanted to exchange bottle, it was easier for REI for whole unit replacement. Side note, the return shipping label is from UPS and not REI. I don't do much online shopping and especially returns. After I called looking for the label, I also learned could bring in old product to a store which worked out well as my wife was going in a week's time. Yes, I recommend the product and certainly recommend buying from REI. Though I don't generally post reviews, I told REI rep that I would given how easy they made this return experience.

OK but bounces too much!

I bought this belt to help me on my longer training runs, and I really wanted to love it. Pros: The double bottle system is great because I can put water in one and a hydrating sports drink in another. They are secure in the holster, so I don't have to worry about them falling while I run. The pocket is big enough for my iPhone 7 and about 4-5 gels. All really wonderful features. Cons: The belt stays secure on my hips for about two minutes before it starts to gradually slip and start bouncing. I had to push it down on my training runs constantly which was tiresome. The belt material is quite stiff, so repositioning it can be a bit of an effort to get it just right. I tried a couple things to troubleshoot: I tightened it, I wore it with the pouch forward & backward, and I tried numerous different configurations of bottle positions. I found it was best to wear the bottles towards my back and the pouch in the front. Still, any elevation change at all jarred the belt too much such that I started to hold it down when I climbed hills. Overall, not ideal for a runner wanting to focus on their run.

Leaky bottles

Amphipod has dropped quite a bit in quality. I've run with their belts for years - I've had several and have liked them in the past. All of their bottles have started to leak after a lot of use, but, now, these newer bottles start to leak quickly, much sooner than bottles in the past. I've replaced the bottles several times now and the new ones have leaked as well. Particularly at the beginning of your run when your bottles are filled, the water / drink splashes out of the leak in small drops, like it's raining on your shorts and back of your legs - it's really quite annoying. Just had this very aggravation yet again last night.

It’s ok.

It worked well for 2 long runs but on the third run the clip to hold the water bottle broke. The anti slip grip on the inside of the belt also started coming off.

Comfortable to wear BUT..

Positives: *Bottles clip in easily *Comfortable to wear *Nice sized pouch to store necessities Negatives: *Very difficult to adjust straps *The glue on the straps is already coming off after one adjustment. This was not built to last :(

Best belt

Great belt. Tried on every vest and belt they had in store and went with this one. Fits my iPhone 14 Pro Max, which no other belts would. I keep the pouch and bottles at the front and have the belt loose enough so that while I’m running, it’ll naturally fall down to right on top of my hip bones and it’s super comfortable. The bottles are easy enough to squeeze and grab even with my carpal tunnel, just read the instructions given. I’ve used it on short trail races, long runs, and will use it for my upcoming half marathon. Definitely recommend, great price too for beginner runners.

Makes Hiking with Dogs so much easier!

I was originally looking for a small hiking pack that featured hip pockets large enough to store my phone. Unable to find what I was looking for, I came across this! Finding that my iPhone 7 Plus fit, I decided to give it a shot! Not only did the pouch fit my phone for easy access but it also fit my keys and I.D.! The belt is wide and comfortable and did not dig in at any point. I barely even noticed I was wearing it. I was able to attach both a dog bowl (with a carabiner) and a treat pouch to the belt as well! Even with those extra attachments and the full water bottles, the belt felt super light! The only issue I had with it was that the water bottles are small, 10oz per bottle, so I ran through water quick! Luckily, we were not on a long hike!

Not my fave

I had a previous amphipod belt that I really liked (a long story involving leaving it on top of my car while I drove off, resulting in it flying off and the clips being smashed after it was run over), so I bought this one thinking I would also love it. Unfortunately no. The belt itself has no stretch to it (very different from my last one), leaving me to consistently fuss with it. The glue or backing on the belt started coming off after two uses. As others have noted, I had issues with the bottles leaking (looks like they have micro cracks that leak just enough to douse me with half the water in the bottle as I'm running). I also had this issue with a previous bottle in this size from my old belt, so with four bottles total, I have one that does not leak. I thought maybe I had dropped the old bottle, but both of these new bottles leaked the first time I used them. Spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out if I was putting the top on incorrectly. Total waste of money and time trying to make this belt work.

Pleased with the Amphipod RunLite

I am very pleased with this belt, it fits my phone (measures yours), key and some gels. The bottles work better than the ones I had with a previous Amphipod belt. You can hear a click when they are secure which prevents losing them while running. The only issue I have is that I can't see my phone when I am using a running tracker, however, if you tap in the right spot, the audio works. I might buy some more bottles as the bottles from my last Amphipod were discontinued so I want to be prepared with this one.

Excellent Product!

Super comfy running belt! I’ve tried any different styles and this is amazing! Love the way the water bottles clip into the belt. Doesn’t move on the body when I run. Small enough that doesn’t interfere with body movements.
