Definitely XL

So I have a big face, and these are HUGE. It's not Smith's fault - they said they were big, but I think I underestimated it since most large glasses look fairly normal on my face. They are made of a high quality plastic frame and the Chroma Pop lenses really seem to be high quality, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't look a little ridiculous wearing such large shades. Also, since the lenses are not a mirrored shade, it makes my eyeballs look pretty tiny behind the lenses. All in all, just leaving the review to say "Hey, these glasses are big af" but also let you know the quality seems high and the lenses are super nice.

Fantastic Product! Extremely Durable!!! Stylish:ok_hand::skin-tone-3:

I had a truck pull in front of me out of nowhere on my Sportster 5 days ago. I was doing 50mph and ended up sliding into that tailgate. I was released on a sunny Tuesday and my girl said they weren’t in the bag with my shredded and busted belongings. I figured as much. I got home from the hospital and just assumed my favorite pair of shades needed to be replaced. Just as I was considering what color to replace them with, I dug through my bag gathered at the scene and there, tucked into my right shoe, was a pair of Smith Lowdown XL2s that simply needed a cleaning. So stoked my shades survived too!:skin-tone-3:

Rad shades!

Went from the Guide's Choice to the Lowdown XL 2 and not only does this frame fit my face better, it fits my style better as well. Do love the fit and finish. I wish the hinges were sprung like the Guides. I am a tall (6'6") and long person but not particularly wide in the face, so I was cautious about the XL. That said, I am happy I went with the bigger frame. The arms are longer which relieves pressure on my ears and overall improves comfort. For someone who literally lives in sunglasses, the comfort of the Lowdown XL2 is super impressive and important to me. All in all, a great glass and stellar optics.

A necessity in Florida

The last pair of smith lowdown xl I had made me a believer. When I moved to Florida last year I decided to use these when I went paddle boarding along some of the channels near the coastline of the gulf. The chromopop is amazing. It truly makes the colors pop, great blocking the suns rays, I can see straight down in the water clear and in the rivers, plus they look really cool. I love them and will be getting another pair very soon.

Lowdown 2 XL Chromapop Praise

I have owned many pairs of the lowdown XL’s 2 & the lowdown 2’s. I personally the new matte gravy frame on on my lowdown XL 2, the chromapop polarized lenses are sharp, clear ans great for any kind of outdoor activities. No matter what style you have Smith’s warranty, response time and customer service are what keeps Snith glasses, googles, helmets etc. my gear of choice.

Best for big heads

These are amazing glasses. The lenses are incredible, coming from an Oakley Prizm wearer for years I like the ChromaPop more and I have a severe light sensitivity that causes migraines. The best part is how these fit, I have a HUGE head and have never found a pair of glasses that truly fit my head until these. If you have a smaller head then stay away form these.

Effective and shading my eyes

Effective and shading my eyes from the sun, looking good on my money maker and the general durability is actually much better than anticipated. I work as an alpine guide, rock guide and spend over 100 days a year on skies and these glasses still are in good shape despite the harsh beating they get. Thanks smith for making a quality product

Chromapop: best lenses ever!!!

Great gift for my boyfriend! He looks great in them obviously and the chromapop lenses are so dang incredible. I love mine for paddleboarding (well anything) because they block the light glare so you can see all the fish and habitat on the river and I wanted him to be able to enjoy that too! Such great glasses!!!

Lowdown on the lowdown

I’m not a big style guy, and I don’t have the biggest head and widest face but these glasses really look good on anyone. I am however a huge game of big glasses and this design works for me. Not the pair for fishing but deff the ones for rocking around the boat, dock, and street!
