Best Rope Ever

We love this rope. I will say it's a bit thinner than the ropes my boyfriend and I are used to, but it's only a 9.8 (not that bad). We were recommended this rope by our rockclimbing mentor. It's also a beautiful rope, but I will add that the colors are a lot brighter than what's in the displayed picture. The rope is perfect length for simple outdoor and gym climbing. The Dry-Core is perfect. We will be purchasing Sterling again.

In a budget, Then this may be the rope for you

At first it was my spare rope. But quickly it became my primary rope. This is not one of those cases where you get what you pay for. For entry level and for people that want to have only one rope, I say this is the one. The only thing I can complain about is the color. I have the 60m and don’t really like the color. I do like the color of the 30m but that’s too short. It may be good for the gym but too short for the crag.

Solid Rope, Especially for the Price

Overall, I like this rope a lot. It does coil up a bit but not too bad. The outer sheath showed some wear pretty fast, but I think that happened when I was toproping people on sharp rock, so I don't really blame the rope. One critique is the middle mark has become hard to spot as the rope has gotten dirty and worn; the middle mark is now about the same color as the wear.

Great Value

This is probably the best value rope out there yet it belays easily and is a good combination of lightness and strength. The dry core is an added bonus. This is my go to trad and sport rope.

Not the Best Sterling

In the past I have been a very loyal sterling rope user, but this rope did not compare to the other sterlings I've had. Firstly, the sheath was frayed in one spot when I received it. Secondly, after about two uses the area of rope near the ends had changed textures and was sharp to run through a hand to clip with.

Great rope for the gym or the crag

I am loving this rope after using it for a couple outdoor days and many days in the gym. It is light and handles well. Feels great on lead. The dry treatment is a nice bonus too for the price.

Fantastic Short Rope

I bought this for a short, top-rope only crag, and it has been fantastic. It's so nice not to have a bunch of extra rope to hike in, just to leave on the ground while climbing. In terms of quality, I love the elongation %, comfortable & confident to fall on. The rope feels tight, and passes through gear smoothly. It's a great addition for short crags.
