Outstanding...
I bought the OutPost rack and the bed track kit for my 2016 Tacoma Double Cab Short Bed and have taken it on the Utah Backcountry Discovery Route, the White Rim Trail, the Pony Express Trail, and all over Moab. It's been solid and reliable. No wiggles, no rattles, no problems. It is easy to mount and to remove. An outstanding product.
Misleading advertisement
I just picked up my order at the local REI. I realized I was missing the crossbars, when I asked the employee I was told that they are sold separately!!! What the heck! I’m purchasing a bed rack for one reason and that is to have a rack so I can carry stuff on top. The crossbars are not listed in “accessories” and the first step in installing the rack according to the instructions is to set the crossbars. That is just misleading from REI because the posts are useless without crossbars. Now I have to go back and purchase the said bars for another $300+ I’m thinking of reporting to consumer protection bureau frankly.
Great for a RTT
Great sporty rack. The only down fall was having to piece it together. You have to know up front that this product is just the towers. The HD bars, side bars, and (depending on your truck) mounting kit are sold separately. There are all types of accessories for these racks and I can't wait to finish it!
Haven’t been able to use
Haven’t been able to use because I’ve been waiting on the mounting hardware for a month. Hope to find out soon....
