Awesome Portage Pack
Listen guys... I abused my 120L Pro Pack for 20 straight days, two weeks rain, over thirty portages last fall in the Quetico. Pretty sure I had nearly 80 lbs gear stowed. Many of my portages were over one mile in rain and flooding. I tossed it around, sat on it, dropped it etc. Everything inside stayed bone dry and safe. I'm a retired Army Ranger. I beat the living daylights out of this pack... Minor Issue: A few stiches came loose where shoulder strap attaches to base. Held up fine. Even so, I sent it in for repairs. In less than three weeks they elected to send me a brand new pack. Great pack! Great Company!
Perfect pack for BWCA or other paddle-ventures
Bought this pack for BWCA trips (and will use it for other trips as well). Inaugural trip with the new pack was 3 nights, 4 days last week. Was sick of carrying a wet pack, and having the exterior of my inside dry bags always damp. Long story short, this pack exceeded expectations. Strap system works great and is fully adjustable, the pack floats, hip strap is substantial and adjustable. Packed for my family and i in this 120L and was able to single portage carrying the canoe (1500 rods in total). The placement or angle of the top of the pack is adjustable so i could get it behind the yoke to hoof the canoe and pack. Also used this pack to hang our food. Couldnt speak more highly of this pack.
Best all around dry pack
I recently purchased a Sealline Pro Dry Pack 70L for an extended float trip and canoe tripping. It performed well in the canoe. It always kept my gear dry even when dropped into the river. The impressive thing about this pack is the comfort using it as a backpack. I have backpacked plenty in my life with many different packs. This summer I used this as my primary backpacking pack(my good one was loaned out). After 100+ miles of backpacking with this pack I was impressed. It was every bit as comfortable as any backpack I have used. The ventilation on my back was great. I never had any rubbing or chafing from this pack. This is a great pack for canoe tripping with portages. I will be getting another one soon.
The Best
They are the best. If you are canoeing and portaging for multiple days, this pack is the top of the food chain. We take these packs to BWCA and put them to the test with weight and beat them to a pulp and they hold up super well.
Great Gear!
I will be putting up a review of it on my blog here in the near future!
A great solution for big trips.
This drybag has held up well and holds quite a bit of gear. The primary use is to pack loads of gear and equipment into an off-the-grid cabin and to hot tents which are difficult to access due to heavy winter snows. The added suspension is nice when packing and very helpful when securing it down to a towable polk sled or snow machine. It's pretty stiff and you loose some interior volume to get it closed well. Become familiar with the system before packing up and you'll be set.
DEFINITELY BUY THIS BAG
THIS IS THE SECOND SEALLINE BAG THAT I HAVE OWNED. THE FIRST ONE IS FINELY DEAD AFTER TEN YEARS OF ABUSE, THE STRAPS JUST COULDN'T HOLD ANYMORE, BREAKING AT THE STITCHES TIED BACK TOGETHER AND USED FOR ANOTHER TWO YEARS. I LOVE THE COMFORT OF THE NEW BACKPACK. IT GETS HEAVILY USED IN MY TRAVELS IN AND OUT OF CAMP. I PUT IT TO USE EVERY WEEKEND OF HUNTING SEASON THIS YEAR, OVER PACKED AND OVER WEIGHTED WITH GEAR STRAPPED TO THE OUTSIDE. IT WAS BY FAR THE MOST COMFORTABLE PORTAGE I HAVE HAD INTO HUNTING CAMP. I WILL NEVER BUY A DIFFERENT BAG (SORRY TO SAY BUT HOPEFULLY I WONT HAVE TO FOR A LONG TIME) THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS; IF THE BAG IS ONLY FILLED HALF WAY WITH RELY HEAVY GEAR. THE WEIGHT IS TOO LOW ON YOUR BODY AND IT PULLS ON YOUR SHOULDERS. WHEN IT IS PACKED RIGHT AND THE WEIGHT IS HIGH IT IS THE BEST BAG ON THE MARKET. THANK YOU
Glad I Went Pro!
Very well built! I got the large 120L Pro Dry Pack and this thing swallows up the gear. I used on a recent ocean kayaking trip to store SIX (6) peoples sleeping systems, which included sleeping bags, pads, inflatable pillows, and a few other items fit into the space in between. The pack had some extra room to spare and kept everything nice and dry during a few different boat rides. All closure straps held the lid firmly in place, and shoulder straps were very comfortable for this lighter load. Didn't even need to utilize the hip belt for that journey because the shoulder straps were just fine. I'm sure this pack would work great for heavier loads with the pack system. The bottom is reinforced nicely for larger heavier loads. That is one thing I noticed right away because I was replacing an old dry pack that had the bottom blow out on me right before a trip.
Big Bag
This bag was great to take on my 7 day canoe trip, but the day before we left I discovered that there were some hard creases in the bag that caused some of the outer fabric to be scratched during shipping. It was too late for me to try and exchange it at that point so I just dealt with it. A little frustrating but I didn’t let it slow me down. The pack is big and comfortable to hike/portage with
We bought these bags for
We bought these bags for our hunting trip to Alaska in august of 2023. We haven’t had the chance to use them yet but have prepackes them and they are more than we’d really expected size wise. Everything that we plan on taking fits well inside these bags with plenty of room for the extras we haven’t planned on taking. We are looking forward to trying them.
