Works!
This little bag does exactly what it says it is designed to do: let your bar of soap dry out. Matador don’t say how long this process takes. My full bar of Dr Bronner’s lavender All-One soap requires 12-24 hours to become dry to the touch, depending on many factors. I use it now in my gym locker and I’ll be taking it to Scotland next spring. Is it worth the cost? Eh, your call. Do you need one? Absolutely not. However, if you travel with a bar soap product, this little bag will help make it last much longer and prevent a gooey mess.

I wanted to love this
I wanted to love this - I use shampoo and conditioner bars as well as body soap so I thought this would be perfect for travel. The bags don’t let the soap dry out very much so you end up with a sticky mess in the bag and it can be a pain to get the soap in and out. I would go with a larger reusable silicon bag instead that could sit open on the countertop and that would be easier to get wet soap out of.

If you prefer bar soap to liquid: worth trying

This was a last-minute gamble packing for a bike camping trip, and I was mocked by my travel parters, who used liquid soap and bar soap in a ziplock bag, respectively. I was surprisingly happy with my choice. I'm not sure what the soap needs to dry out, but I strapped it on the outside of my handlebar bag every day, and it was dry for every post-ride shower. I'm easily icked out by slimy bar soap, and so for me - this was a win. If slimy bar soap doesn't bother you, then you won't need it.

Skeptical but surprised

I wasn't sure this was going to be worth the money, since you can get a basic plastic soap bar holder at the dollar store. But, I have been really trying to reduce the amount of new plastic I purchase and have been attempting to make "smarter" choices when I do need to buy something in the plastic realm. So, instead of following the tail in front of me and just buying the same old solution for how to travel without bar soap getting all over everything - I tried this out. Definitely happy that I took the leap. The roll top works great, and being able to clip this on the outside of my toiletries bag was super convenient. The bar does indeed dry without sticking to the inside of the bag, and there is no mess anywhere. My boyfriend made fun of me for buying this, but I think the joke is on him. I'm very happy with the purchase, and I would buy it again.

It's like magic

I was so skeptical of this product but I was tired of carrying around soap boxes that leak water or soap runoff. I like using bar soap because it travels easily, at least when dry, and doesn't usually have plastic packaging. This bag exceeded all expectations. It does dry the soap while closed and is awesome. It may not fit a whole soap bar depending on the size but for CeraVe bars it will fit a travel size or a bar that is cut down no problem. So grateful that I found this.

Small, Clever, and Enjoyably Effective

Small, clever little bar soap pouch. Great idea to use a nicely scented soap bar, cut it to fit and for the duration of the trip, and toss this into your luggage. I used a Dr Bronner's Lavender bar, cut it in thirds, and put a third in this, tossing it into my luggage (a Day Pack). Opening a pack has never been so pleasant. Amazingly enough, this breathable case works to keep the soap at bay inside and not mess the luggage. May be pricey, but you'll enjoy it if you use soap with a nice scent.

Does everything as advertised

I've used typical plastic containers for my bar soap for years. This case delivered on what it said it would do- it kept the soap from getting mushy, didn't allow the moisture inside to dampen the other travel kit items, and sealed well. The only two negatives were decisive for me- it wasn't incredibly easy to get the soap into and out of the case, and setting the soap down during the shower wasn't as easy as a plastic case. I like this and will use it on backpack trips, but my normal travel kit will return to the plastic soap case.

Does What It Says

Pretty cool little soap case, which allows the water to evaporate while the soap is in the bag. When traveling, this helps save soap from the residual water when placed in other soap cases. I do wish it was a little bigger; the instructions say to roll the top three times, which takes up a considerable amount of volume. But can fit a Dove bar easily.

A luxury item for sure, but worth it

If traveling light is a priority, this little bag is worth the price. Unlike plastic soap holders, this one conforms to the size of whatever soap you're storing. So it makes it _far_ more packable, saving valuable space. After traveling with it to Patagonia, I'm a believer now.

Magic

This little bag is magic. I use bar shampoo all the time and when traveling have used metal and plastic containers. This bag dries the bar in a few hours - I put in the wet soap, hang up in the bathroom and when I check later the bar is dry. It will be awesome for travel and camping but for now it is fun to play with.
