The rope stands out at night if wearing a headlamp
Chris A

The refleive material in this cord sends the light back in the direction if came from. So if wearing a headlamp the cord looks like a lazer beam in the dark. Howerver if holding a flash light below you waist the cords are not so bright. As long as you understand how retro reflection works these are great for two uses finding your tent when it is pitch dark and most importently not tripping over the guy lines. One reviewer said there where lanterns in the area and the cord did not light-up. That is to be expected because (1) the reflecters send tot light back to the lantern, not your eyes and (2) if there are lanterns around then it is not dark enough for these cords to work. If you are using headlamps in a very dark place these shine like laser beams.

Dog loves it

Ok the cord seems great and everything except that the first time I used it, my dog could not stay away from the cord and chew it in half in like 5 seconds. I wonder if the smell or if the material could bother animals. Anyway, the way my dog was attracted to it, I would not use it in the wild except if I want a lot of wild visitors chewing on it at night...

30 feet sometimes not enough for a bear bag,

When trying to hang a bear bag in less-than-optimum conditions, I found that 30 feet was barely enough. Safer to go to 50 feet of cordage. But it's also good for clotheslines, tying down tent corners, tying up water bags or equipment, etc. No issues with weight, quality, or performance. Lights up nicely with a headlamp.

Reflective 550 Paracord

Exactly what i was looking for. 550 paracord. Ties well. I like the reflective braiding to prevent walking into the ridgeline in the dark. Does exactly what it should. Used it to set up a shelter for our gear when rain was in the forecast. This will always be in my pack.

Killer Kord

30 feet of bright orange paracord. strung up my bear bag with this for back packing trip last weekend. great for the price. caribeaner seems to be solid quality. This cord is reflective, added bonus, or i dint read the package. When i shined my light on it at the end of the night, the glow of cord was a nice surprise.

Helps At Night

It is reflective and holds. I use this instead of the cord that comes with my tents. Easier to see where the cord is at night with a head lamp on…..yes I did trip on the original cord that is non reflective at 2am.

Typical 550 cord, comes with carabiner

There isn't a lot to say about it, it's a typical bundle of 550 cord. However, it does come with a carabiner which makes it a quick and easy item to buy for hanging up your bear bag.

Endlessly handy

Easy to spot if you set it down or anchor something with it. Orange one of the best. Reflective 'cause it's always real dark at night in the wild. Makes handle wraps and strong rope for improvising and shelters. Never be caught without some.
