Loved them out of the box
My third pair of Tevas since the 90s. These are a big upgrade over my last pair when it comes to style and features. They are so incredibly comfortable right out of the box. While also feeling rugged and grippy. Hoping these last for many years. I normally wear an 8.5 shoe. Since these don’t come in half sizes I purchased an 8, which fits perfectly.

Huge disappointment
Had many Tevas over the years, they lasted for years when I lived in Florida guiding kayak tours in the Glades and Bahamas This pair lasted less than two years living in NY where I only wear them in the summer. Never even hike in them, just to the store and around the yard for a little over four months of actual use. Has quality dropped THAT much?

Barely lasted a year- just out of Teva Warranty ..

Save your money..... these barely lasted a little over a year, just long enough to NOT qualify for Teva's one year warranty policy. The bottom soles wore through, exposing the innards at about 9 months, and the footbed rubber holding the toe strap ripped at about 13 months....too late for Teva to honor their warranty. I've had Tevas last for 5-6 years without a problem.... These barely lasted a year with moderate use. Teva must be using inferior materials on their newer sandals....bummer because they are very comfortable, but if I'm paying over $100 for footwear, it has to last longer than a year....

Both sandals had issues during the same hike

Very disappointed in Teva sandals. Both sandals came apart during the same hike after less than two years after getting the sandals. What happened? I wore them in the shower and then used them on a hike in a sandy trail of about 100 degrees (f) in central Texas during June. This surely can’t be normal.

Poorly constructed & broke in the middle of trip

I bought these for a trip down the Colorado river through the Grand Canyon. They broke on day day 7 of a 14 day trip and really made the rest of the trip difficult. I bought these well in advance and broke them in. I was standing in the river on a loose sandy bottom unloading one of the rafts. I went to head back to shore and my feet had sunk into the bottom a few inches. As I went to pick up my foot, I felt "pop" , and discovered that one of the main heel support straps just pulled right out of the sole. You can see it in the photo. For the price and the reputation, these things are terribly designed and constructed and really failed me on this trip. This strap appears to be just pressed and glued into the sole. I poked a hole through the sole and cut up a sunglasses retainer and tied it on which allowed me to limp-literally--through the rest of the trip. My friends on the trip showed me how the Chaco design is far superior in that the strap is continuous and goes through the sole of the shoe. Had I bought Chaco sandals I would have not spend more than a week on this once in a lifetime trip limping around. I will never buy another Teva product.

Fell Apart After 13 Months of Light Use

Wore these around the house occasionally and took them to the beach twice before this happened. Nearly twisted my ankle walking down the driveway when they broke. Contacted Teva and they wouldn’t even give me a partial credit toward a replacement pair. Not impressed.

Love my New Teva’s!

I was greeted with wonderful service at my local REI in downtown Columbia, SC. Despite the fact that the sandals I was looking forward to not pop up on the employees initial search, he went above and beyond going back to check the stock anyway and ended up finding the exact size I needed. The Teva men’s Terra FI5’s have been wonderful and I have worn them everyday since I got them. They fit true to size but if anything I would recommend going a half size up for more comfort. I have exercised and even run in these sandals and they hold up great with great comfort out the box and no chaffing or discomfort with the straps.

Love, LOVE these shoes!!!

I wear these almost every day from April through October. They have gone with me up 14ers, miles and miles of trails, in snow/rain/creeks/rivers, kayaking, and around town, to work, and absolutely everywhere. That said, I'm not surprised they wear out after two seasons. I have plantar fasciitis and these support me better than any other shoe I have, even though the other shoes have inserts for pf. I love these shoes and they are worth the cost every two years. I would have worn these to my wedding if my wife had allowed it, and everyone there would have expected it.

Poor quality- cracks/tears in less than a year.

The fit and styling are excellent. My review addresses the poor quality of my last three pairs of Teva sandals. In only three months of summer wear, small cracks and tears in the rubber footbeds begin spreading from the strap openings. This compromises the stability and fit of the sandal to my foot. I'm done with Teva.

Blowout!

Delaminated… glue holding webbing in sole came undone. I’m older now & don’t put my tevas through the abuse I did 2 decades ago…. Sad that they blew out in under 2 years

Fell apart

I'd give a zero if i could. I had my previous pair for 20 years and glued the soles on twice. I had this pair for a year and one fell apart (conveniently a few months after warranty). The insole started separating and the rear straps pulled completely out...while on a rafting trip. They were held together with duct tape the last 36 hours if my trip.

junk

Wow. Bought these in July 2022. After 3 days, the front toe strap broke off. It wasn’t sewn on at all - just glued. REI happily replaced them. Now, after two years (4 to 5 months of actual wear), try replacements have disintegrated. The older generations of Teva would last for years. Now, they last a couple of months. REI knows they are selling junk, and that’s partly why they have reduced their satisfaction guarantee to 1 year. Shame on you REI. And shame on you, Teva. Making and selling complete garbage. Might as well shop at Walmart and buy junk at “junk” prices. It used to be that REI vetted their products. That is no longer the case. Trusted retailer? Nope.
