Narrow brim
Tilley makes a great product. This hat has a very narrow brim so it doesn't provide very much sun protection but overall it's durable, washable and dries quickly.

Watch out for the sizing chart!
Tilley says that you should add 0.4-0.8" to your head circumference measurement before using the sizing chart. But this is not explained on the site here, so watch out or it will be too small. For example, I measured my 24" head and therefore ordered the 7 3/4 size hat, as per the chart - but that's too small and I should have gone up one or even two sizes!

Just a Great Hat

I picked up another Tilley hat a few months ago and was imprssed wiht the fit, comfort, and even the comlliments i was recieveing wearing it. It was the Hemp model and just a bit wrk for the summer months - so I picked this one up. A winner for sure. This is just a great hat. It blocks out the sun from my eyes and ears and if it rain, so what as my glasses stay clear. The chin straps that are large enough to go under the chin and across the back of the neck at the same time anchor this down like it is glued in place.

Great Product, Bad Size Chart.

The hat is fantastic, but the sizing chart is not accurate. I had to go to Tilley's main website after sifting through forums to discover that you have to order a whole size up if not more. Sadly that was only discovered after I've had to return the hat twice. It really should be noted on the website that this is the case. Seeing that I don't have an REI close to me and this model is not carried in any local stores, the size chart was all I had to go on. So go big or go home.

Tilley hats

Great hat. I now have 4 different types Tilley of hats. This one runs just a bit smaller but still fits fine. I use them all for different situations. I have owned Tilley hats for decades and they never wear out. They just get dirty.

Great hat!

I love Tilley hats. I have a few and this is one of my favorites. Love the color, the brim width and the weight of it - and it sheds rain. One of the things I love about Tilley is that I can get a specific size so it really fits me. Hats that are described as "one size fits all" don't work for me.

Best hat ever!

I purchased this hat online after carefully measuring my head 3 times! It fits perfectly. Best investment ever. I wear it while training for my Camino de Santiago in August, and it is equally perfect for beach time!

Great Hat

These hats live up to their reputation. They are very comfortable, cool, and stay in place. I've worn it on a number of backpacking trips over the past few months, and I'm very happy with it. I've had issues with other full brim hats that come off in the slightest breeze. I can dial in the fit with this hat easily, ensuring that it stays put.

Good protection and well constructed

Great well designed and well constructed hat. Tilley’s sizing guide worked perfectly for me. Measurement equated to a size 7 1/2 which was perfect. I already had a floppy hat for kayaking. This one has a more stylish yet protected design due to the brim being a slight bit narrower on the sides.

Good hat

This hat worked quite well in a hot environment. The only drawback that I saw was the cord. I replaced that with one more suited to my needs (paracord) in a different configuration

Everyone needs a Tilley Hat!

I love love this hat! It is so versatile. I needed something more than a baseball cap so my neck would be protected. It’s the perfect hat for gardening and power walking.
