Aloha

I am a travel nurse and was in Hilo on assignment. I missed my bike back home-so I bought the REI cruiser for exercise, ease of parking at local beaches, and just plain fun. I also loved the bike shipping to HI was only $75 with REI. When leaving Hawaii I sold the bike to another travel nurse for just a bit less than I paid for it-though as a good person threw in the pump and light for her. The cost of shipping my beautiful bike back to florida was beyond the cost of the bike. She gave me many days of pleasure and was a cinch to assemble-you will need an adjustable wrench to securely tighten. Multi-tool is also included with purchase for all other assembly needs.

Love it!!!! I’ve already taken it out a few times riding along coastal bike trails. An absolute pleasure to ride! I added an Electra basket to the front and a double one to the back along with a rack. Looks great!

Great for recreational riding

Exactly what I hoped it would be! I haven’t had a bike since I was a kid, but wanted to start riding again. I bought this for biking on paved trails and going around the neighborhood. It’s become a great way to get outdoors in the heat and it’s incredibly comfortable. I’m very happy with it!

Best cruiser bike in the world!

This is one of the best cruiser bikes I have had. I used to have a PHAT Beach cruiser, it is exactly like that one. There’s enough room between the handlebars in the seat for a larger frame, and the ride is smooth and enjoyable. The seat is comfortable and you could spend hours biking and not get tired. The frame is strong and durable and the rose gold is a beautiful color as well! This is truly the best value and quality for the price.

Perfect for the lot!

I bought this because I work on a motion picture lot and need to get around a large area quickly. This bike is the MOST comfortable I've ever ridden and I didn't make any changes to the seat. It's easy to maintain and the "Beach Bronze" is a beautiful rose gold/rose bronze. It's super easy to ride. I'd recommend it for flat areas as there are no gears though a short up-hill is manageable since the tires are so large.

Nice, simple bike

I had been riding a hybrid 21 speed bike for many years, and was tired of the specialized maintenance it needed ($$$). I was looking for a simpler, easier to maintain bike for casual, neighborhood cruising. I was concerned about the frame size, as I always felt a bit cramped on my hybrid bike. It was the correct size for my height, but it just felt too small. I finally decided to go to my local REI to check out this bike. The frame is ample, it feels comfortable and natural. I am 5'6", with long arms and legs. This bike itself is not for rough trails, and won't win any speed races, but it wonderfully serves my slow-paced tooling around the neighborhood. I do wish the step through bar was more open - a concern for us older gals who still like to keep active. The pearl finish is a beautiful, sparkly color- makes me long for streamers on the handles (oh, the 70's!). I added a handlebar basket for daily mail collection.

Very comfortable bike. Ride it to work everyday

Had a cheap bike and it lasted just over a year on my daily 3.5 mile commute to work. This Townie is at a year old and it runs smooth and nimble. I stay on the sidewalks in the city and they can really beat a bike up. The Townie is very well built with quality parts. I'm looking forward to retiring next year and stepping up to the Townie 7 so I can go everywhere on my Townie
