On my feet all day as a teacher in the new era of Covid. I travel from class to class and do not sit down during school days.I have worn Dansko clogs in the past, but wanted something more cushioned and forgiving to my tootsies. These shoes are lifesavers. Lightweight, solid arch support, and cute, cute, cute. Someone mentioned in another review that the laces don't stay tied. That is not a problem for me. Laces stay tied with no issues. Love the little patch of leather on the back of the heel. The shoes are low key enough to go with dress pants without screaming ATHLETIC SHOES, but also blend with workout pants and yoga leggings. Love 'em.
Great looking comfortable shoe
This is a great shoe but it runs big. I ordered my usual 91/2 and then tried a 9 and now have just ordered an 81/2. I think this will work. I’d give them a ten except for the odd sizing. Sure wish the stores were open to try them on there. One of these days....but staying healthy is more important!
Very Comfortable -- looking forward to doing a lot of walking in my new shoes!
I ordered these shoes to wear on an upcoming trip to Europe where I plan to do a lot of walking! In anticipation of the trip I started wearing the shoes to "break them in." Totally not necessary! These shoes have been very comfortable from day 1. I've worn them with socks, without socks, with footies, it doesn't matter still cool and comfortable! I have not had any issues with them rubbing my feet and making sore places. I have not gotten the shoes wet yet, but I believe that they will dry quickly because of how they are made and the material used to make them. It also doesn't hurt that they are nice looking shoes and I have already been complimented on them!
So comfortable
I recently had surgery in the area where my Achilles tendon attaches to my heel bone. I purchased these shoes to help with the rehabilitation. The upper part of the shoe that covers the heel, specifically the surgical site, is very comfortable - it feels like a stabilizing ace bandage instead of the back part of a shoe. The sole is also perfect - just the right amount of support and cushioning for this area that has "been through so much". I am a distance walker and dance fitness instructor so I cannot wait to get back into the swing of things! I really like the color too! I will be staying with Merrells for life!
Awesome style and comfort
Bought these shoes on a whim because I liked the looks. Just tried them on and they are SUPER comfortable--nice arch support, snug in a comfy way with lots of room for toes. I bought the Brindle color and they are a great neutral LOVE these shoes! (PS-I received no payment or benefit for this review, it's totally honest)
Good overall comfortable, easy-wearing shoe -- except for laces
Good, overall comfortable, easy-wearing shoe. Concerned that it might be a tad too tight; ordered based on similar Merrell shoe, but could barely read size on previous shoe. Only real complaint are the shoe laces. Why do do many lace shoes, including these, have round laces? They won't stay tied. And I'm not even talking about heavy-duty action, such as tennis or running. Maybe it's the fabric in them, but this seems to be a problem with round laces across the board by brand or type of activity -- heavy duty hiking or running to simply walking around the grocery store.
Comfortable, easy to slip on, and athletically-chic sneaker
I had previously associated the Merrell brand with hiking and outdoor essentials, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found this stylish but comfortably everyday sneaker on their website. I ordered the Gridway in Glacier Grey, and when it got here, it was much lighter in color than pictured on the website. Not a worry, though, because it still looked great, with the added bonus of being super easy to slip on, breatheable, lightweight, and supportive in the arch and heel. This is a shoe that can stand up to a full day on your feet and still look good doing it. My only small gripe about the shoe is that the material on the heel is a little scratchy when you first wear it. But that feeling wears off quickly as you break in the shoe.
The perfect urban sophistic!
My husband has been on me to find appropriate travel shoes (and ideally adopt a more sporty style). I saw these on Merrell.com and immediately ordered given we have two holidays on our horizon. I don’t need a trip to love them! I have received several compliments since first wearing them a week ago. I live in Los Angeles and have rocked these shoes not only with jeans but a silk skirt with a baggy pull-over. Very California sheek. They are so comfortable and make me feel stylish while being practical walking the streets, stairs, and bars of DTLA.
Love this supportive casual kick!
I have to have supportive shoes, but don't always want to wear a sandal or a clunky hiking boot. Regular tennis shoes are out as they are too soft, and I want a small profile looking shoe to wear with shorts. I LOVE this shoe, and I am super picky about how my shoe fits and feels. I don't wear shoes for looks, I wear them for comfort. I can walk all day in these (shopping, etc.). I will be getting another pair, but I would love better color choices!! FYI, am 60 and active, very particular about shoes as my heels hurt with support.
Very cute shoe but...
The shoe is so cute! I love the leather detail on the back and the style/fabric of the shoe is great however I had to return the size 8 for a 7.5 but probably could go down to a 7. BTW: I always wear a size 8, so these shoes run big. The sad thing is my heel comes up when I walk.. which makes it uncomfortable. It makes my bootie-sock move downward on my heel. I would love to give these shoes a 5 star however I just can't because of that reason. I would be afraid to wear these all day on my feet, might rub a blister on my heel??
