Roomy but cozy
I love this thing. It's super lightweight but cozy. I've worn this sweater lounging around the house and outdoors camping/climbing in 40-50 degree weather. I actually prefer this to the Better Sweater sometimes because of its looser/less stiff fit. Obviously, you'll still need to layer with it, which this is nice for because it's roomy (but not baggy). Ordered a size S and it fits great-- I'm 5'8" / 130lbs / have a leaner build. Sleeve length hits just right. Purchased it on sale though (~$60) so it depends whether or not you think it's worth it!
Love it. Warm and cozy
This is part of my favorite snow hike wardrobe. I love that I can go hiking in the snow for a couple hours, then come back inside for a zoom meeting without changing the shirt, and also use it out casually on the weekend. It's not so heavy that it makes you sweat when going back indoors after hiking. For 25 degree hikes, I wear a 250 wool baselayer shirt, this micro D, and an old (not the warmest) arcteryx coat, wool baselayer pants and down pants, snowboots, a smartwool hat, and a buff neck gaiter. As long as it's not too windy and there's some sun out, I stay pretty warm, even though I stand still for long periods.
Great Fleece Pullover
I love this pullover! It fits great - not baggy and it is really light and warm. Color is interesting too. I got the Small and it fits great. I am 5'6" and 130 lb and usually wear small size.
Finally one of my own
My son always had one that he wore through Cub Scouts and now is getting a new one for Boy Scouts only because he has finally outgrown it. It is his favorite things to take to trips, skiing and wear everywhere. It has held up so well that I am passing it down to his younger cousin. I saw this in a women’s version too and decided to try it on. I can see why he likes it! It’s soft, comfortable, warm and a great layering piece. I got the Stone Blue/Cedar Mesa color and it is really pretty. It goes great with this years Bivy Hooded Down Vest in Smoulder Blue/Deep Plum which I bought as well to wear with it if needed. Wonderful fleece pullover, I’m very happy!
Potentially not great for short ladies
The pullover was soft and warm, but the collar is where I ran into issues. The ribbon used to cover the seam between the collar and body sections was very rough on my neck. My skin became irritated after only wearing it for about 20 minutes or so. The collar was too long for my neck when buttoned up all the way and it was too stiff to get folded down. I am only 5'1 and have a short neck so these might be considerations if you have a similar build.
Great pullover, but Snap-T closure is a bit stiff
So soft, great weight for hiking. The snap-t closure is a little stiff for the lightweight class of this fleece material if you are buying this to lounge around in. If you are keen to wear this for outdoor activities however, you may find this useful as it helps the collar stand when the buttons are fastened. Really liked the sleek modern hues of the Regen Green/Companions colourway, especially in a harmonious contrast with the outdoorsy pattern. Some Patagonia Women's colourways in the Snap-T series run the risk of looking like they were designed for children so I'm glad to see some more modern designs that are not single colour blocks. Ordered the size S and it fit wonderfully, not too closely fitted but certainly not baggy . 5'6 130lbs.
Nearly perfect
This is the perfect combo of lightweight and warm, great color and super comfy. Only thing I wish it had is pockets.
Great shirt!
Ordered the blue in a small and it’s fits perfect I’m 5.4 and 127lbs and find that not all Patagonia sweatshirts fit true to size but this one does. It’s a thinner sweater shirt but still warm soft fleece great year round shirt here in Alaska.
Order your Regular size.
Nice pullover but I went with too many of the reviews stating to go up a size so I ordered an XL. Could have stuck with a large. The XL was too baggy and sleeves were too long. I am usually a L in most jackets. I will be returning for a L. For reference I am 5'6", 160lbs, average build with broad shoulders. I bought the purple/blue one but the colors online were stronger than in person.
Very comfortable
This pullover is very comfy and lightweight but keeps me warm. Great for layering in the spring and fall. I took off a star because it’s overpriced - I fortunately was able to buy it on sale otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it.
