Love this string lights

I picked up this bad boy a few weeks back and used this for two car camping trips with my Kelty Noah tarp 16'. I love the color - light yellow instead of the traditional bright white. It's not very long but just enough to cover one side, but I don't think it's long enough if you want to hang it diagonally. When it's on full brightness, it's bright enough to light up the entire picnic table and we were able to cook without additional lighting. It lasts about 8 hours as we use full brightness while cooking, and then dim that to the lowest when we chill and chat at night. When the light is out, we normally just hang a small power bank and plug in on the other side.

Nice Lights, but not ideal
Anonymous
I've been using these for a few months now - the quality of light is great, just right for a campsite or added motel room ambience when on the road. Length is ideal. However they aren't perfect, and there is one big design flaw that drives me crazy. - Solar charge is so-so, very slow. I have two units and neither can get to a full charge (by the indicator lights) using solar - one unit only gets to two dots (out of five). The internal battery does last a while but I wish the solar performance was better, and the lack of consistency makes me wonder about quality control. - Charge by USB. Based on the weak solar charging and where you are camping (I'm a gray skies California camper), you'll almost certainly need to charge or top up via USB power. But the USB power input is on the end of the light string - not on the heavier solar power unit. This makes no sense - if you have your lights strung up you'll have to figure out a way to get your battery pack up to your lights. It would make a ton more sense if you could plug USB into the solar unit to charge. But the lights look good and they are a fun addition to the campsite - I still prefer my ENO battery powered lights tho'.

This is the best solar light string I’ve ever used

It works just like what it is advertised. The lights are bright enough to actually read a book or have it hanging on a canopy for that extra light, without running extension cords. The built-in features are great too. I like how the built-in clips on the light string are helpful to attach to a canopy. Also, it's nice that you can charge the solar light with a USB outlet. The only that I have noticed is when I charge my phone to it, the solar lights get drained quickly. Overall this is a great product, and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a non-plug-in camping light.

Durable and incredibly bright

I have been using these lights for a couple of weeks as extra string lights for dinners out on my deck and I have been very impressed at how well they work. First off they are much brighter than any other string light I have used and I like the option to toggle between multiple brightness settings. They lasted throughout an entire evening of use with no problem and recharged over the next day while sitting out in the sun. The rope is very (very) long so you can use them in many settings and they have a little clip on the end that clips back onto the rope to make a loop. This would be my only negative comment is that the attachment system could be improved to provide easier hanging. I do like that the base station with the solar panel has a strap and the storage design is ingenious and works incredibly well. They even developed the case so you don't have to use the entire rope at once but can keep some of it stored in the base. Overall, I am a big fan of the many features of this light including the durable and bright string lights, storage features, and of course the ability to charge off the grid. I would highly recommend trying out one of these lights for use at your campsite or just around the house.

Perfect for travel, camping, and home

These lights are compact, easy to pack, and easy to use. The charging cord is integrated into the end of the string of lights, so there are no missing pieces to lose. The solar charging panel works great also. Everything packs into a case about the size of my hand which makes them portable and perfect to take on camping trips and other vacations. The lights have three different intensities, perfect for creating ambience or using them for working or reading on the brighter setting. An integrated clip at the end helps hold them in place when stringing them. As a bonus, the rope string is my favorite color!. I highly recommend these to anyone who does a lot of traveling and car camping. They are a little heavy to carry on a long backpacking trip but would be a great splurge in the pack for a shorter trip. The ability to charge a device with them in a pinch is a nice feature as well!

Nice Little Light Set

This is a nice little light set. I left it in my window for a couple of days to charge up. (I don't think it needed this long, but that's just how long I left it before I got around to setting them out.) Once I could figure out where the end was inside (go for the USB plug on the inside!), they were easy to string out. The photos show them on low-light. I wanted to test how long they would stay on and they were just as bright after 5 hours as at the start. I haven't yet tried to time them on high. But on low, it's plenty of power to last an evening. It will be interesting to see whether this wanes over time and use. Even on low, they are pretty bright. These would be heavy to take for a backpack trip, but they are nice for car camping, to add some light to a site. You can charge your phone, as well with this, but I haven't yet taken it in the field to do that, so I'm not sure how many charges or how long it would take. The first four photos are of the lights on low right after I put them up. The last is those same lights after 5 hours.

Thoughtfully Made, Ready to Go

They must have tested the heck out of this thing, because all 3 lights levels are perfect - good for intimate settings but useful also to read, work or party near. The chord length and number of lights is versatile as well, and this thing is tough - I've used it in a number of settings, from camping to indoor. It's just a warm, charming, confident glow. The solar power part makes you wish more items were like this. And the lights last a long time - 20 hours in the lowest setting. The base pops open and closes easily and the battery level lights and USB plug-ins are clear and easy, perfect for camping. On the next iteration, it might be nice if they had a rubbery base, so the thing doesn't slip around, and maybe a hook hole so you could hang the base up. Could they sell extra string so you connect multiple strings from one base? These are minor quibbles compared to the ease of use, the savings from not needing separate batteries and the perfect light levels. It's also waterproof, so you don't need to worry about a splash or light rain. I've tested that as well : ).

Awesome all-in-one solar light and power source!

First, let's start with the product design. It is a nice, compact, round unit measuring 5"H x 5"W x 2"D (3"D when expanded). The spring-loaded string-light winder twist-to-open storage compartment is brilliant! Makes for easy deployment and storage. There is a fairly accurate series of indicator lights that display the unit's battery level. There is also a super useful USB port that you can plug *any* USB cable into to charge whatever device needs power. I like that they gave you a port instead of a specific USB type cable since our myriad of devices require micro, lightning and USB-C cables. Also noteworth are the silicone buttons and port cover. I like that the port cover is attached to the unit, which eliminates the chance of me losing it! This product is touted as water resistant, which to me means it'll survive a little bit of rain, but it's best to bring it inside if it's pouring out. I wanted to give this product a really good run before I sat down and reviewed it. Being a solar unit, I felt I needed to wait for sunny weather since I live in the PNW, where full sun days are few and far between. However, I was pleasantly surprised by just how little sun I needed to keep this thing going. Drained down to 0 it took approx 4 hours to charge via USB @ 2.4A (wall plug). It lasted a full 6 hours @ the highest brightness on a full charge. It lasted a full 18 hours @ the lowest brightness on a full charge, but I suspect the solar panels were able to charge the battery in between runs. My iPhone X was charged 20% when plugged into charge for 1 hour, which would put it at 5 hours to charge my device from 0-100%. I've been meaning to pick up a solar charger in case of emergency for when we're far from power outlets and absolutely am in love with the fact that little unit serves as a multi-purpose light AND power source! I can't say enough good things about this and am really glad to have it in my camp kit.

Long lasting comfrotable light

Perfect length for my tent. 3 light setting for the perfect tone. I first used them on a trip a few weeks ago during what could only be described as a freak monsoon. Because of this I was a little terrified and didnt sleep a wink. Instead, I stayed up all night reading to try and get my mind off of my impending tree squishing type death. Fortunately, I did not expire and I am amazed about how the lights managed to keep me well lit and about as calm as you could be in the circumstances. Well done, crazy long charge, great white tone, three colors, and a good length to get the lights all the way around the tent.

Absolutely Love

These lights are great. Three different brightness levels, attached solar panel, and available USB charging? Perfect. I would only use this as a charger in a pinch, but as lights, they are great. They put out a good deal of light. I have used them in power outages, too Even though they are on the heavier side as far as lights, I brought them backpacking and was so glad I did. They illuminated our entire tent area. They are so easy to hang. I loved this so much I bought three and will most likely give some to family for power outages.
