Sizing Notes

Please note, this sizing chart is meant to serve only as a guideline.

Sizing downhill poles: Stand in your ski boots on a level floor. With your poles upside down—grips touching the floor—grab the pole beneath the basket so that the top of your thumb touches the basket. Your elbow should now be at a 90-degree angle. If the angle is less than 90 degrees, get a shorter pole. If the angle is greater, get a longer pole.

Sizing XC poles: Stand in your XC ski boots on a level floor. Place the pole tips on the floor next to your feet. The top of the grips should reach your arm pits.

Sizing skate poles: Stand in your skate boots on a level floor. Place pole tips on the ground with the pole shafts perpendicular to the floor. The poles should reach from the ground up to a point somewhere between your chin and your lips.

Good light use winter poles

I purchased these poles back in December and they’ve been used on many splitboarding and snowshoeing trips in the backcountry (50+ easily). After taking AIARE 2 and learning hand shear pit technique, I used the poles as an excellent quick tool to assess snowpack and conditions. These poles, however, are fragile. I have run into issues before in the past with one of them where it would persistently fail to retract because it jammed on the knob (requiring light hammer taps or forceful pressing), which I suspect compromised the shaft integrity. Yesterday while I was doing a traverse over snow and scree, the pole shattered on the segment that retracts into the shaft :(. I really want to get another pair, but considering that these poles can’t really take medium-level abuse, I don’t have faith in them being usable for more forceful techniques like hard pole plants and the like, which I’d like to advance towards. PS The Velcro which holds the shaft together in its compact form doesn’t work very effectively after it gets wet/dirty/exposed to snow a few times.

Perfected hiking poles

I purchase an earlier version of these hiking poles that failed after 2 seasons. This revised version worked extremely well. I put them to the test when i fell b into a deep spuce hole and had to rly on the poles as my only solid purchase point to climb out of the hole.

I really really like these poles while they last

The design functionality is excellent, the best part of which (imo) is the well thought out great powder basket design, heel riser flicking is a breeze.. Also light and although the little button froze once or twice and had to breath on it a bit to collapse again, so the design could be impoved without the button. Biggest draw back is that they only lasted me a few months (averaging 5 days a week) splitboarding until they broke.

Great Buy

I couldn’t be happier with these. I’ve taken them out 3 times since I got them. They are the easiest to use: pack, open and set up even with gloves on. They’re super light weight so it doesn’t feel like I am carrying additional gear. Two thumbs up on this product!

Awesome poles

These are great sturdy poles. The adjustment works great, they are light, the velcro keeper strap is built in, and they break down into threes. Couldn't ask for more.

Great feel, but skip a bit and one broke on me

These felt great, light and easy to adjust. However, I could never get them to stay locked at the right height, they slip over time. One totally snapped on me after about a year.

Amazing Poles

Amazing! Lightweight, durable, compact. Have used primarily while splitboarding and a few times while snowshoeing. Easy to break down even when it’s freezing outside and fit into a 20L touring bag no problem. Have had zero issues with poles collapsing because of their design. Great poles. Highly recommend!
