read the description and the specs of this shoe
I read all the reviews and most of them are complaining that they were walking on rocks or they soul is thin..and so on. Well if you would have read about the show it states for surfing/paddle boarding thats why they are basically water socks. Not River shoes! The name brand and name of the shoe are self explanatory.

Sizing is off
I wear a 9 1/2 in street shoes and a 10 in running shoes, and ordered these surf boots in a 10. They are way too small, but seem fine, otherwise. (Very lightweight compared to water shoes or wetsuit booties, more like a slipper). 10 is the largest size REI carries. I would recommend trying a full size up.

Good for rowing

I wear these for crew practice. The sole is thin enough to feel responsive and flexible in the boat, but tough enough to be comfortable on the dock. I think they'd also be nice for SUP, but I wouldn't use them for walking over large or sharp rocks. I wear an 8-8.5 in street shoes and the size 9's I bought are only slightly large.

This is for surfing. People are not getting it.

So, I just bought these to surf in to keep sea urchin spines out of my toes when surfing the reefs, and they are great. I actually think they fit true to size, so am disappointed I sized up based on reviews. They are not for walking (though you could walk or bike to the beach in them, just not on gravel). They would fit better for surfing if TTS. If this is how you're going to use them I would not size up.

Great for winter surfing

I bought these after getting stung by a stingray while surfing to get some added protection to my feet. They work great for keeping my feet warm while surfing in the winter time. I wear size 7 shoes. I bought a size 7 and it fit perfectly.

happy with purchase

I really don't like being in the water but I love SUPing so I needed shoes to wear between the shore and the board- always so much broken glass and stuff nowadays :( I wore these for the first time and really liked them! I am naive and thought maybe my feet would stay dry, but nope, they got totally wet. These shoes have little straps on the back that I was able to clip to my bike & they were dry by the time I rode home. I bought them in store and got a size 9, I am a solid 8.5 normally

Way too small!

My feet are a solid size 8. I ordered the 8 and they were too small. So I ordered a 9 and they are still too small to get my foot into. I guess I'll order a 10!

Runs VERY small. VEEERRRYYY small.

The sole was thinner than expected but the biggest issue is that it runs extremely small. I got a Women's 5 for my 10 year old based on the size by inches in the size chart. A women's 5 is the same size as a Big Kid girl's size 3. It wasn't even getting on her foot.

Just pay attention to sizing

I loved these for the matching wetsuit. Just keep in mind that they're only 1 mm. I took advice and ordered a size up. I normally wear an eight and I ordered a nine and they fit right. They've survived three dives so far and I'm over all happy.

Not for Surfing

Not for surfing. Probably OK for walking on reef without any waves. There is no synch around the ankle so they come off. Wife was not happy and ended up not using them for surfing.
