Good Little Cup
I purchased this little cup to make a summer time light weight cook kit that would fit in my BV450 bear canister. The cup without the bag weighs 1.75 oz. on my scales. I will add a small lighter, 1 hot lip, Toaks folding TI spork and a BRS TI stove for a total of 3.75 oz.. This is a small cup and will only hold around 1-1/2 cups. If you are going to be eating the 2 serving meals I would go up to the 450 or 550.
Ideal lightweight backpacking cup
Nice and simple - it's a cup, it has a handle, and it's delightfully light! Had a double-walled cup previously that finally died (pinhole developed allowing moisture inside, gross). I was initially worried about heat loss with a single-wall cup, but in the time it takes me to drink my cup of coffee... it was *not* an issue. If anything, it was nice to be able to warm my hands on the cup, and have it cool down to a drinkable temperature in under an hour. Very happy with the purchase, perfect size for drinks, too small if you want an all-in-one eat/drink container.
Lightweight and the handles are snug
It's a mug, it's titanium, it's super lightweight, and the handles are nice and snug (they stay in the position you put them). Re-usable silicone coffee cup lids snap over the lip of this mug perfectly, so that's a plus. I've found TOAKS gear is often lower priced than other brands, while having the same (or better) quality.
Great mug - bag is a waste
Love the mug; great size, comfortable, light, durable. Not sure of the purpose of the bag. It's not well made, and weighs almost as much as the mug itself. Also, for a company that puts in the effort to use a recycled paper box, I'm not sure why they've added plastic to the package. For a customer wanting to avoid both waste and weight while backpacking, it just makes no sense.
Morning coffee
Nice and light, works great for that morning cup of coffee
Nice light cup for a small cup of coffee
I like this cup for my morning joe but I might have to purchase something else for other food needs. I thought I could get by on this small of one but I don't think that will happen. Good cup though!
Excellent cup
Since purchasing my first TOAKS product, I have become loyal to the brand. The company puts out amazingly lightweight and high-quality products that will last a lifetime with heavy use. This single wall cup is no exception. However, you should be aware that it's a single wall, meaning it gets very hot to the touch.
Perfect for Personal Percolation
I have a larger pot that I use for backpacking, but was looking for something on snowy day hikes. This works great for making a personal coffee or tea at the peak or on trail. I love sitting back with my cup of warmth looking over the next valley and range. When I get back home, it's easy clean up and I'm ready for next time!
Light and high quality cup
A light weight cup that is easy to carry in a backpack. Essential items when going hiking
Plastic in your coffee anyone?
Its a nice mug but they totally screwed up the stuff sack. The stuff sack sheds little bits of plastic into the mug. I guess I will rinse it every time until I find a proper stuff sack. If you find a titanuim mug with a proper stuff sac I would reccomend going with that instead.
