"Lifestyle" sock not as good as hiking versions
I bought my first Darn Tough socks a few years ago after a few disappointments with that other famous wool-sock brand...I won't buy socks from any other brand now. I got this because of the cute pattern and light weight, thinking I could use it for summer hiking or casual wear. Unfortunately their "lifestyle" sock line seems to be much weaker than their hiking line. The toe seam is very bulky and apparent and I can easily see it causing chafing. Toe area doesn't fit quite right and bunches up/hits at uncomfortable spots like any cheaper sock would. I'll be returning this and exchanging for one of their hiker socks instead.
The best socks ever.
I wear merino wool socks all year round. During the hot summer months I wear wool peds and other seasons wool crew socks. Darn Tough is one of my favorite brands. Not only do they have nice designs, the sock fit is superb, as well as the quality. This particular style is one of Darn Tough's lighter weight sock. In other words it's a perfect sock to wear if you do not want a thick sock or sock with extra padding. An everyday kind of sock. Keep in mind, although this is a thinner sock, it is still a warm sock. The socks will whisk away moisture and keep your feet warm and dry all day long.

Great fit.Get a larger size if you plan on forgetting to take them out of the dryer. Not itchy/hot like the lower % of wool socks. Check the label if you want the higher wool %. Don't ever seem to wear out. Amazing that they also have a life-time warranty.
Very comfortable
My wife does not like thick socks! These are much lighter weight perfect for day hikes. I purchased 4 pairs of socks for her and she loves them. She told me they are light and very comfortable and don't bunch up like thicker socks she has worn.
Light weight and functional
Picked these up on a whim and am very pleased. Great weight for summer hikes and significantly lighter and thinner than my other non Darn Tough wool socks. They're also a little slicker than my usual wool socks, which I attribute to helping avoid blisters while breaking in new boots. Perfect!
Stink-free feet
I've read soo many good things about this brand while venturing into purchasing quality hiking items, so I bought these! I was a bit disappointed that the bottom of the socks started fraying along some of the stitching after one wash BUT still wearable and with a lifetime warranty, I'm not worried about it. These definitely keep your feet stink-free and the sky design was cute! It's thinner than other socks but keeps you warm.
Lightweight socks NOT made like the others.
This is my 6th pair of darn tough socks (and I LOVE them), but my first pair of the lightweight socks. After the first wear they started with soft little pills. I pulled most off, again after second wash. I also find they slide down under the foot a bit. I would not purchase again. Not happy with this sock but do love the Darn Tough brand for cusioned hiking socks.

I bought these socks in the medium size for my daughter and she LOVES them! They stay put and don't slouch. They also hold up well after numerous times in the washer and dryer!

Best socks I've ever bought.
I love these socks. They are light but comfy. They keep my feet warm. I like the design. Sometimes I wear them 4 days in a row (or even more, tbh) without washing, and they somehow don't smell or feel dirty! I won't be wearing any other socks for hiking from now on.
