Fits slim! Love it!
Just received my base layer and I'm so excited! Kari Traa wool doesn't feel itchy for me and I can't wait to get this on the trail and the river! I usually size up for space in my shoulders and upper arms and I am between a medium and a large usually. This large fits me great and allows for a full range of motion! Would totally recommend.

Holes!!
I bought both the top and the bottoms shortly after Christmas. It’s not that cold where I live so I only wore the top a couple of times before the cold weather turned to hot weather, this was the beginning of 2020. Fast forward to this year and I pulled out my thermals to wear. When I put them on the top had one hole and the pants which I never wore had about 6 holes in them. They are too expensive to have holes after less than a year and the pants were never even worn!! I know there aren’t any insects eating them, because all of my other wool clothes are perfectly fine and I’ve had those clothes for quite a few years. Very disappointed in this product and I won’t be purchasing for this company again.

Runs small in my experience

I love the pattern, colors and fabric (I ordered the navy and pink version called "Roy") but the fit is off for me. I'm 5'8" and weigh 130 pounds and the Large is too clingy and feels tight in places. I understand that it's a base layer, but since this is a Half-Zip I want to wear something else underneath. The Large doesn't give me enough room for that and it's not flattering! I've sent the Large back and ordered the XL, but I'm worried it may be something to do with the cut that just doesn't fit my body. I have a lot of Smartwool tops and 1/4 zips and the Large in Smartwool fits me perfectly. I'm hoping the XL will work for me in this Kari Traa style because I really love the colors.

Trekking base layer supreme

The first thing I pack when I’m heading out for an adventure is this top. I like to be warm so this works for everything from zero to 60 especially if it’s rainy or snowy. My favorite part is that when I get to the lodge or the pub at the end of the day I can peel off the layers and look like I dressed for the occasion. Sporty?Check.Girly? Check. Fun? Check. I have another shirt from 5 years ago that this replaced. This fabric washes great, wears great, still bright and cheery for many year!

ABSOLUTE BEST BASELAYER EVER!

- [ ] This is the cutest/best merino top I’ve ever found! It keeps me so warm! I usually only need this layer and my ski coat unless it’s really cold then I’ll layer a puffy as well. I love the flower/snowflake print! Such flattering base layer and I get so many compliments on the fucha color on the skin track when I’m just wearing this under my bibs! Whether you’re skiing, touring, apres-ing or lounging this is a must have set! Also, the odor resistance is awesome, I probably wash once a week and ski in it daily! True to size!

Best wool base layer

Love this super soft merino wool base layer. It's my second one, and is as nice as my first. I wear it on winter hikes where it wicks well while keeping me toasty. It's the only wool brand that doesn't itch.

Positive experience!

I recently purchased this and I love it. It's very comfortable for hiking. I was surprised that the sleeves don't have thumb holes but it doesn't make much of a difference, I got a large size and it was perfect. The half-zip is great for letting out the heat , or keeping it in. Color is attractive and the top layers well under most anything.

Holes

Holes within 3 very gentle wears. Pants look like they’re right behind the top. Makes me sad because I so love this company’s prints etc. I hope the company can address this so I can be a return customer.

Great mult-sport insulating top!

I purchased this top for walking and cycling in cold weather. It doesn't disappoint! I was mega-toasty, but not hot in 42 degree, windy weather during my walk this morning. Can hardly wait to wear as a base layer under my cycling jacket tomorrow. The long length of the arms and body mean that the shirt stays tucked and my wrists comfy. Well done!

Top runs smaller than size guide

I found this top to be very fitted and runs small, I will need to exchange for the next size up. Size guide seems inaccurate, but the top is very soft and doesn't feel itchy. I doubt you can wear another baselayer underneath without sizing up.
