Survived a subzero ski trip!

I bought this before a 3 day ski weekend that predicted a high of three degrees Fahrenheit w/ windchills of -20. I knew my current, lighter jacket wouldn’t cut it! This coat worked great and kept me as warm and dry as I hoped! All of the pockets, snow skirt, Omni-heat lining and Omni tech shell make a great deal for the price - and the blue color was a great change from my black coat that was always difficult to spot in a crowd. I usually wear a size M/8 in tops, but in this case went with the large so I could layer up underneath if needed. It was perfect. Would recommend!

This jacket is exactly what I needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket does not disappoint. With the many pockets, insulation to keep you warm, and being a good fit - it's exactly what I needed! I placed the order online and it came quickly to me before the holidays. I stayed warm while snowshoeing in the mountains here in Colorado and plan to go snowboarding with it shortly. I definitely recommend this product. It is perfect for all winter activities and daily use for warmth.

Nice Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went on a walk in 15 degree weather with just a t-shirt underneath and was warm. If I was going skiing, I would definitely wear another layer underneath. I am 5'7" and 130 LBS. Normally I order a small, but I got a medium so I could put more layers under it. The medium fits great with a down coat on underneath. I have loved this coat so far.

Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket specifically for Yosemite in the winter and I'm so glad I was prepared! It was about 20 degrees and snowing! I didn't event need to layer up. I had a Columbia long sleeve plus this jacket and both worked great in this weather. It also has a super soft feel to it on the outside and still keeps the water out.

Excellent Style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the contrast of the fabrics, it gives the jacket a little more style. It also has so many conveniences like the left arm zip pocket that can fit your ID or a little cash, the outside pocket for your phone or whatever, its huge. The inside breast pocket, the detachable hood, the venting zippers in the armpits, the thumb hole sleeves, Can't say enough. I have this in a size @x and it fits well and looks nice. The Omniheat keeps you warm, the water rolls off the sleeve. Finally found a great everyday jacket!

Made me feel warm and comfortable in cold Norway.

Bought this jacket with the purpose of using it for a 3-day ski trip to Norway (Hafjell). Liked the color (picked the blue one) and the price but was nervous about the performance of the jacket. It passed! Was worried about feeling cold since Norway can get quite cold. Weather was between -1 to -8 Celsius (do the conversion yourself) and there was a lot of wind one of the days. Did not feel cold, other than once in a while on the lift. It has all the necessary pockets and it sips all the way up to just under the mouth without pressing on the neck (which I have experienced with other jackets). If I should mention one thing that bothered me a little, it would be the placement of the snow-skirt. I am quite tall (176 cm) which might have made it sit a little higher on me that I would have wished for. Maybe if I had pants that was attachable to the jacket it would have helped. It should be mentioned that this was my first skitrip in 11 years and the review is therefore coming from a newbie.

Surprisingly warm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was concerned when I received my jacket and it seemed so light weight. I expected it to be similar in bulk to my previous Columbia jacket, but I see that technology has changed and winter wear has gotten more high tech. I shouldn't have worried, the jacket is surprisingly warm and a solid wind blocker. It has been great in recent below freezing weather. Predicted temps near 0 degrees are forecast for this week, but I am not concerned. It has been nice to enjoy the warmth without all the added bulk. I am also very pleased with the many pockets, both interior and exterior. The color is also great, I paired with the coordinating hat and gloves for the complete look.

Cozy and easy access

I moved to a full zip jacket from a pullover anorak - this had put zips but I was pretty darn warm anyway. I loved that the zippers worked well and that there were many options for storage - pass, money, Kleenex, and phone/camera. Fabric seems durable - I placed my elbow in some gooey yuck but a quick whish of snow removed it. I’m very happy and expect it to serve me well!

Extremely Functional for skiing or snowboarding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this jacket and get many comments when I wear it on the street in general. The various pockets allow me to bring everything I need on the mountain without carrying a bookbag. My favorite part is the thumb holes. It is completely waterproof too. I was worried about sizing, based on others’ reviews, but this was not an issue for me. I am 5’5’ and 115 pounds and I usually struggle to find jackets which cover my arms as I have broader shoulders and longer arms (compared to the average joe). That’s not to say that if you have average length arms and shoulders, that it would be too large for you- I think it would fit fine. I purchased the size small. Anyway- I love it!

Wife Loves This Jacket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered this for a trip to Aspen/Snowmass area for Christmas week. We had all kinds of activities including a 4-hour adventure tour on snowmobiles. I had purchased myself the Lhotse IIâ„¢ Interchange Jacket, and my wife chose this one because it had similar features. She felt this jacket functioned wonderfully in every setting, it is well-made and helped keep her comfortably warm for hours, even in 9 degree weather. The omni-heat technology is wonderful. How good is it? We were visiting with friends last evening, planning their own trip to Aspen, and she recommended this jacket over any she has ever owned.
