Compact and functional
Inflator system is small and capable. The head is designed to be compatible with both Shraeder and Presta valves. While a bit heavy compared to other designs, the steel construction makes it very durable. The only thing missing is a safety ring or something similar should allow the head to be partially threaded on but not risk puncturing the cylinder prematurely.
Great Product Will not ride without it
Great product super simple to use. Attach the air and press onto your valve to release the Co2. You can also control the flow of Co2 and don't have to use the whole cartridge at one time. Saved me the 2nd day I purchased it.
Love it
No more hand pump. Tho’ spendy, I no longer have to carry my hand pump, which will inflate to “100 psi” which is way above my strength level. Lucky if I get to 50 psi. Tiny little things so I take two with me in case my repaired flat goes flat again. Love it.
An in a pinch tool.
This was an impulse buy, to have just In case. Who knew two days after I purchased it, I would be using it. With a quick twist of the compressed air canister onto the inflation head, I was back on the trail.
Doesn`t work
went through two cartridges and all it did was spew CO2 out the back will be returning it this week.
Less can be more
Sturdy, simple, works really well. This is the 2nd time purchasing this product (lost the first one)
Take Pliers With You If You Intend To Rely On This
I needed pliers to open the valve inside the body (not the valve stem) with a full CO2 cartridge to inflate a flat. The force required declines as the CO2 cartridge is depleted, so that you can do it by hand. Needing to take pliers on a ride negates the lightweight value of this product. My old inflator was bigger and heavier but had a trigger to open the valve, which worked. I'm disappointed by this new one not being as cool as the description and as it looked.
Head is nice, but
Didn't use this inflator because there was no included sleeve when I opened the box. Instructions say there is, so I wrote MSW asking if they wanted to send me one or if I should just return the unit to REI. After 5 days MSW hasn't responded, so I'm returning it. Cylinders just get too cold to handle without protection, so I'll try the Portland Design unit.
Didn’t work
Co2 just leaked out the back, had to use a pump to inflate to get home
Small, lightweight and fast
I purchase this to replace my portable hand pump, and since then, it's rescued me on a few rides where I would've been stuck pumping for 10 or more minutes with the hand pump. Not only is it faster than a hand pump, it's also significantly smaller, allowing me to keep it and a CO2 cartridge in my saddlebag.
