They changed the fit!
The 2019 version has a much different fit than previous years. The length in the torso is shorter, the waistband and chest are narrower, while the arms and shoulders are still loose. I normally wear a small, but in the previous (2016) version I was able to wear a medium and it was long enough to wear with leggings. The new version (2019) is so short it would definitely require pants. I was excited about the new colors, but chose skip this version because of the new fit. I got the quilted tunic instead!
Short torso
I found this way too short in the torso. For reference, I am 5'9" with a long torso and currently between a size 4 and 6 in most pants. This in size small was a comfortable fit across the shoulders and chest (small chest), billowy in the abdomen, and not far past my belly button in torso length. I have a pretty typical arm length and didn't notice any trouble with the sleeves being too short. I sent it back because the short length and billowy abdomen was not attractive and defeat the purpose of wanting a soft and cozy shirt to keep me warm.
Comfortable and Professional
I love this sweater! I own two, and wear them at least three days a week at work. Have had the first for almost two years and it has held up great. I have one medium and one small - the medium is more comfortable but slightly baggier on me. The small is still plenty comfortable, just more form fitting. 125 lbs/5'3
Another great Patagonia Product
I love patagonia's business model and want to support them where I can, however I always find myself fitting very differently in each type of garment they make, particularly in women's sizing. I'm anywhere between a medium to an XL in their stuff, and happen to be an XL in this sweater compared to being a medium in their synchilla (which is extremely oversized). Sizing inconsistencies aside though, this is a GREAT sweater. It feels great, it's breathable but warm, and isn't tight and doesn't restrict movement in any places (the shoulders are a problem area for me). I love this so much that I ordered it in another color. This is for sure going to be a staple for ski trips, and general cold weather wear in general. Love love love this pullover!
Perfection
I love this sweatshirt. It is classy and looks put together while being beyond comfortable. I own two of them and wear them daily when the temp is below 70 (warmer than that is just too hot — it’s cotton, but it’s thick!). Being cotton, it will shrink, but I just hang to dry and have had no issues. I have a short torso and found the dimensions perfect. I have had this sweatshirt for more than six months and they still look new. Very durable, worth the price! Also fits TTS, 5’8” 150lbs and M is great.
SHIRNKS
THIS WILL SHRINK and after falling so in love with it, will ruin what you thought was the perfect sweatshirt, helping you live your perfect life. Be warned.
Love this!
For reference I’m 5’5” a size 16 and very busty and this in an XL fits me well with a t shirt underneath. It’s warm and soft and very comfortable alone or under a puffy jacket. I get tons of compliments while wearing it since it seems to pair well with prettt much any bottoms, jeans, workout leggings, shorts etc.
favorite 3 season sweater
I wear this almost every day and sometimes to bed. Super comfy and warm. Holds up so well and looks good. I usually wear med but opted for large to have a more relaxed look and feel. Waiting for new colors so I can buy another
Absolutely love this!
No joke so classy and warm! Want in so many colors. I ordered a large because I wanted it a little oversized
