Cozy but not my first choice

This sweater is thick and carpet-like which makes it warm and cozy. It’s also a bit bulky. The front pocked is nice to hold your hands in but make sure you layer up because the fabric between your hands and stomach is mesh and has holes so cold air can get through. The breast pocket has a small opening but is actually has decent depth and a snap closure. As another mentioned, the neck opening is SMALL so consider that when purchasing. I usually wear an XS in sweaters, jackets, shirts, but in this pullover, I went for a Small solely because of the neck opening. If you want a go to sweater, consider the Better Sweater by Patagonia which is my FAVORITE! This sweater is a nice addition to my collection but when I downsize my wardrobe, I won’t be keeping this one. I tend to wear it around the house more than anything and the fuzzy material is a pet hair magnet. Nice sweater, but not my ride or die.

So Cozy! Default Winter Wear

I love this pullover! This is my prefered cozy outfit, I'm sad when it's going through the wash. Worn with an Icebreaker Sphere II long sleeve, the combo is soft, plush, and warm. I wish I had figured this out years ago. The quality, construction and warmth reflect the price. I had bought cheaper fleece jackets at Uniqlo in the past, but they aren't as warm or well made. There is mesh interfacing on the sleeve cuffs and inside kangaroo pocket. I usually wear a large, but this wasn't a slim fit on me in a L. 5'4", 175 lb. I might try a medium in the future, but at home it's perfect. I haven't worn it outside, so I don't know if it's windproof.

I have three of these!

I have 3 of these in different colors because I love them so much. High quality, long lasting, warm and comfy! I live in Denver and typically just wear one of these over a shirt during 45-65 degree weather. Great for hiking around in the snow. Some Patagonia stuff has run a little small in the small for me, but this seems true to size.

Great pullover!

I bought this for my daughter who is 5’4” and 125 lbs. She is very athletic. We were worried about the sizing after reading reviews. She does not like anything to be too fitted, but at the same time she does not want it to be baggy. She normally wears a small, but we decided to go with a large instead of a medium after reading another review that was similar to my daughters sizing. I’m so glad we got the large! It fit perfect. It was not baggy at all. As soon as my daughter tried it on she said, “I’m so glad we ordered a large. I can’t imagine how tight the medium would have been.” After seeing her in it, I could not agree more. Gave her just enough room to move around in and not feel like she could not move. Happy with our purchase.

1 month already has a hole

I’ve had the sweater/pullover for maybe a month and it has a hole at the seam on the side. I’ve barely worn it enough for that maybe two washes. One initially then another after a couple weeks of wear. So disappointed

Comfortable and very warm

This pullover is great when outside during a cool night or lounging in the house! It’s warm and comfortable. One thing I don’t love about it is that it’s not the most flattering pullover. When I put it on it looks like I’ve gained a few pounds, especially in the belly area. This may be because the bottom hem is non-stretchy so it sits on my hips while the front pocket poofs out a bit. Obviously this doesn’t bother me when I just want to be comfortable and I’m walking, lounging, climbing, hiking, etc. but I don’t think I would really wear it if I was out and about and/or meeting friends.

Not the same fit as the older ones

I had to send 3 of these back because the fit is extremely different than the 2 I have owned for years. The new fit is much more curvy and flares out at the bottom. Not a problem at all if you are more curvy but my body style is more straight and the flare makes it very unattractive on me. Just a heads up if you own an older model - might try a men's version.

beautiful and comfortable

I read a lot of reviews before making this purchase and most had said how Patagonia runs large, because of that I planned on getting the biggest one they had an XL. I’m glad I went to my REI store and tried them on because I’m actually a medium. The xl was way too long. I do agree that no 2 sweaters run the same though and recommend that you try them on before you buy. I love this sweater and plan to buy as many colors and styles as possible. I do plan to dry clean though as I’m not familiar with this type of fleece and am afraid pilling of the fabric is inevitable.

Perfect!!

I was nervous about the sizing on this after reading everyone else’s reviews, but it’s a perfect fit and very much true to size. I’m a pretty solid medium in almost everything (5’5”, 150 lbs), I bought a medium, it fits like a medium—and has plenty of comfortable room for a long sleeve base layer underneath, what I would have expected of any other medium fleece. It’s warm and cozy but not overbearing, exactly what I was looking for. And looks great as well, love the old school Patagonia vibe. New favorite!!

9 Years Later and Still in Love

I purchased this fleece when Patagonia was a new brand to me. I had seen someone wearing one and I liked the look of it. Little did I know how warm and wonderful it would be. I was attending school in the midwest and the winter snowstorms seemed arctic. I purchased this fleece in purple and wore it all winter long to stay warm. As the years went by it soon was worn running, hiking Colorado mountains, and camping throughout the midwest, I think I even wore it sailing once. I have worn it in snow, rain, mist, you name it. I have washed it multiple times and it still looks almost new. My friends are shocked when I say I have had it 9 years. It has been the best purchase for a fleece I have ever made. I continue to wear it on all my adventures in Colorado and am thankful for its warmth, insulation, and versatility. It's become an old friend.
