Great building platform!!!
I purchased this bike a few months ago for some light trail use, (Virginia Beach) and as a commuter. This is a decent bike but it has so much more potential and as us riders do, we start making our bikes projects. which is fun but it enhances our riding experience and make it more comfortable and fun. I had a Marin bobcat trail 10 years ago and used and abuse the heck out of that back home in Colorado. The bobcat trail was a beast and I have higher hopes for this bike because its a little more stout. If you choose which i would highly recommend upgrading. It will completely transform and lighten the bike. I added frame protection, RaceFace Aeffects stem and matching bars, new grips, Maxxis Aggressors 2.3 x 27.5 which fit great in the frame and really add grip and stability. of course I ditched the stock fork and bumped it up to a Rockshox Recon RL Solo Air fork with 100mm of travel which has a 1-1/8 steerer. I'm really happy with this bike so far and i have a bike i can confidently attack trails back home with. I do not regret the journey of my first bike build. More upgrades are coming! oh im 5'9'' and the medium frame fits me
For the price it's a decent bike
This is my first MTB. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to trail riding, but I went with some experienced riders on a 12 mile trail to test this thing out. I did well and this bike held up for the most part. However, the chain fell off the derailleurs a couple of times and a couple of the pedal teeth chipped off. Also, the brakes are loud, but they work extremely well.
Good Beginner Mountain Bike
This A good Bike for a beginner trying to ride the trail when I first got it, it felt amazing when I was riding it.
Makes riding even more fun.
Theres nothing like a Canondale. Awesome bike!!!!!
best bike ever
