Saved my bike
Someone tried to steal my bike and the lock preventing them from taking procession of it. The cable is frayed, but did it’s job.

Just OK
I bought this cable lock on sale for my beater bike realizing that it would only deter casual, tool-less thieves. I almost bought the model with a thicker cable but am glad I didn't because the cable is quite stiff and a bit of a pain to thread through spokes. The big, white combination numbers are easy to read but the "dials" are hard to spin especially if there's any tension on the cable. Overall, I'm satisfied with the lock.

Immediate Lock Failure

Upon installation, the shank failed to fully seat. This resulted in the immediate failure of the lock. It is stuck half in and half out and cannot be removed or fully closed. The good news is that all the lockpicking methods for this lock that I attempted don’t work, so if your lock works that should give you peace of mind. Rating: 1/5.

Coiled bike lock

All-in-one coiled bike lock was difficult to set up. The instructions were in picture form only and were confusing. The wire of the lock is coiled so tightly that it is difficult to unwind. The rings of the lock are also pretty sticky and it is not easy to turn them to get to your combination.

Lightweight

I really like this lock. It’s lightweight and sturdy enough for short term security. I wouldn’t lock the bike up all day with it, but it’s fine for going into a restaurant or café.

Not good

I bought two of these locks and I am disappointed. The four number dials got stuck from the outset - making it difficult to lock/unlock. I would not recommend this one.

Great lock

Great lock- easy to use, does the job. After fussing with a padlock and key for a while, I bought the combination lock. Very simple, easy to use.

Coiled Too Tightly

The cable probably provides security but it is coiled so tightly that is is almost impossible to get it off the bike without removing the seat post and the it is still too coiled to use effectively on the bike frame.

Not well made

Purchased this in store. Set it up and it seemed to be working fine, I used the code it came with. Went for a ride and locked it to the bike rack. When I returned, the lock wouldn't open - I tried and tried, double/triple checked the code and still wouldn't work. So the lock mechanism failed. REI store couldn't do much, they needed me to bring the lock into the store in order to get a refund. But REI customer services was great, I got a refund.

Great combination lock

I selected this lock specifically because I could set the combination and not worry about keeping up with a key. It works great!
