As solid as it's name Heavy Duty!
Our family of three has been paddling the Old Town Penobscot 17 Royalex a lot this year (Covid Summer) and at 65lbs it can be a chore to haul the canoe, paddles and gear from our car to the put-in. One of the lakes we enjoy the most in the Catskills is 3/4 mile from the parking lot to the shoreline on an old 4x4 road. Before we had the Suspenz HD Airless Cart we would never even consider hauling our boat up there but now it's a breeze. Even our 8yr old can "walk" the boat when it is balanced on the cart. Solid construction, smart design and we love that it folds down flat for easy storage in it's own bag. Worth every penny.
Wheels get flat when boat is left on the cart
I keep my 100lb boat on the cart while it’s on the dock for a couple of days, and I see that the wheels get flat from sitting on the dock. Why does this happen if there is no air inside the wheels? This is a new cart, only used for a couple of days before I noticed this issue. The flattened side makes it very hard to roll the cart!
Kayak/Canoe Cart
This cart is all it says. We have hauled a heavy canoe, and a medium sized kayak on it so far with great success. I particularly like the ease of mounting a boat on it and the ability to carry boat and gear with little effort.
PERFECT KAYAK CART
It took less than 1 minute to set up, and it is lightweight enough to transport on the bow of my kayak. The durability and ease of using it, makes for my 1/2 mile trek/portage something that I look forward to rather than dread at the end of a paddle. Fabulous purchase. FYI - I have a Wilderness Systems Pungo 105 and it rests on the cart with no gaps. If I could add an improvement, I would feel more comfortable with an extra set of cotter pins.
