Great for hiking!
I used this sandals to hike down and see Bonsai Rock at Tahoe Lake, I also walk in the water with them. They felt very comfortable.
Front strap wounded foot
The sizing seemed small. The front strap - not the Velcro but the leading edge of the pad - scraped the skin off to bleeding within about 5 minutes of beginning the initial break-in walk. The scab is still there a month later. I returned them.
Great sandals but not for longtime intensive walking
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has such great cushioning. waling on these shoes is more comfortable than most sneakers or other shoes I've worn. You hardly get tired from the cushioning under your feet. I always enjoy walking in them. The only problem is the feeling of the straps. The straps are kind of stiff and hard. Therefore it rubs against the back of your feet. It gets pretty painful if you walk for a long time. The support of the straps is also not as ideal compared to its great cushioning. You feel comfortable, but when you want to do more with these shoes, get more intensive, you can't maximize your force because of the poor support of the straps. Wish Columbia can see this and improve their product. You guys have been my go-to when coming to outdoors. Keep it Up! Keep Improving
Nice Sandal, but too narrow had to return it.
It's a great quality sandal, but the front straps are too narrow for my foot. I had a very similar looking Columbia Sandal a few years ago that I thought was a previous version of this one. The old ones were awesome and fit perfect. Unfortunately the straps are shorter on this model and the point where the straps enter the sandal are closer together than the old one. So this squeezes my foot. So I would recommend it for people with narrow feet but not wide. That said Columbia's return process is pretty hassle free.
My 3rd pair
I just replaced my pair I bought 7 years ago. I wear these a lot in the summer and sometime even in the winter for driving. The straps broke and the padding was just starting to come off. I love these for the tread that they have on the bottom and the comfort of the sole. I would highly recommend these to anyone. The colors change slightly over the years. I like to keep mine loose, so I would like the velcro to allow wider but they fit fine if worn as intended.
Some issues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They are made well, but the issue is the back strap: it’s holding a foot with not letting it slide back , so the foot is pushed on front, what makes shoes look small even with the gap behind the heel. With Santiam 3 strap model you can adjust it and they are perfect. I thought with this model it will be the same, but I had to return them. They could work with a size up, but in my opinion, all footwear must fit perfectly and be reliable and durable.
Sandals Review
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A little expensive but I've had good experiences with Columbia gear being tough and long lasting. I've only worn in the garden, around the yard, and in the house. They are comfortable and stay on my feet. I like that the soles are like a sneaker and the cushioning is thick. I prefer the leather straps over the plastic ones so these should last many years. Better to spend a little more now then to spend more every year on new gear.
Found my match
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been on the market for a pair of sandals for a while. Tried Keens, Teva, Chaco, nothing fit me right. I never thought of Columbia when shopping for footwear...until now. I bought three different pairs of shoe - water shoes, sandals and flip-flops and all fit my foot like a glove. I’m impressed! I’ve since purchased three pairs of their Silver Ridge shirts which are even more amazing that the shoes. Love this brand!
Great sandals. It is my second pair and first one lasted many years.
I really like these sandals. It is my second pair. I don’t even remember how many years the first ones lasted. They are really great for walking in trails with great grip. The fact that they are of leather makes them great. I did like more in the previous model that the strap behind the ankle was also adjustable. Not many people like them as they look a little old fashioned but I love them.
Great all around sandal for outdoor activity.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these sandals. For as long as I can remember, I have been wearing Tevas. I have owned several pairs of Columbia footwear over the years and decided to try out a pair of sandals. The price was great and the style was exactly what I was looking for. Out of the box, they felt great and are getting better as they break in. I may have purchased my last pair of Tevas.
