Softest Fleece I’ve Ever Felt
I bought this as a fleece mid layer for under my rain jacket during these chilly fall months and I couldn’t be happier with it. Excellent cut, I feel like it hugs me just right. Phenomenally soft fleece that keeps me perfectly warm. Would suggest everyone have a mid layer jacket like this one. My only complaint, which is entirely on me and nothing to do with Arc’teryx, I wish I would have purchased a small. I lean more towards small when I want a warm base layer, and mediums for outer layering and this time I bought a medium when I should have gone small. It still fits me great, I just wish it was a little tighter fit for keeping out draft.
Love this jacket!
I am super bummed because I just lost this jacket in the airport. After checking all the lost and founds with no luck, I ordered a new one because it's my favorite. I wear it all the time for travel, around town or when a warmer layer is needed for outdoor activities. It's super soft inside, looks nice, washes well and doesn't stink after several wears. It breathes well on it's own, but insulates well with a wind breaker or shell over it. I've worn it for grocery shopping and fall hiking, but also for treks in Patagonia and Peru. For high exertion activities, I'd say it's a little heavy, but depends on the weather and what you're doing (like anything else). Overall, it's a great piece to have when you need layers. I'm 5'7", 125lbs, 34C, athletic with a slim/straight build and the Small fits great. The arms are long, but that's perfect for me.
super cozy stretchy top
This is a really lovely mid layer. I personally find it too warm for any real activity. The delta zip i have is a way better choice for skiing or running, but for everyday activities this top is very comfortable. The EXTREME stretch makes it comfortable for whatever movement while reducing bulk because it fits closer to your body. I love the outer fabric because it slides inside any outer layer so it doesn't feel like another layer. The zipper is a bit weird and I read that people had trouble with it lowering on it's own, but mine doesn't. It does have a "hitch" around 3 inches from the top, but it doesn't bother me much.
kyanite fleece
Absolutely love this jacket. It’s perfect for a mid fleece layer. Only thing is the black isn’t really black it’s more like a navy blue
Warm, cosy and stretchy but not very durable
I’ve had this jacket for about 6 weeks and it’s been used mainly as a layering piece but occasionally on its own as a warm layer. I’m 5.9 and wear a size M, the fit is perfect. The longer length at the back means it doesn’t ride up, there is no readjusting needed. I love that it’s stretchy, it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a fleece. My one complaint is that after wearing it once while carrying a daypack, the back of the jacket is now pilled. I was expecting it to be more durable.
Favorite light weight jacket
I love this jacket and wear it all four seasons living at high altitude in the Colorado mountains. Perfect for any outdoor activity and a great layering piece. It washes well and no shrinkage with low heat drying. I also have a Kyanite hoodie. They are both my go to jackets. The medium fits perfectly on my 5'6" #125 frame. There is a slight "hitch" in the zipper a couple inches from the top but it isn't troublesome. Well worth the money.
Great light fleece jacket
I have been looking at this for a long time with a hood, but purchased the fleece jacket instead. I'm totally happy also since the color dimma wasn't available in a hooded jacket. Dimma is a very dark purple color that I love! Light enough to layer under a shell or use as at work inside. I got a medium although almost ordered a small. For reference, 5'6" 148lb with broad shoulders. The medium is comfortable and looks fitted.
Warm & Stylish!
I got this jacket as a Christmas present for myself in the colour Momentum. I layered this with my winter jacket during hikes and I am loving it as a spring jacket right now. It is quite breathable and I have washed it a handful of times and have not noticed any pilling. This works as a great mid layer because it is form fitting and not too heavy. I highly recommend it! The deep pockets are also a big plus!
The Slippery Zipper (TM)
I was amused to read that Arcteryx has a trademark for the No Slip Zip on the Kyanite Hoody. I think the trademark should actually be called The Slippery Zipper. I can actually unzip this jacket without using my hands/fingers. And the hoody's zipper is even worse than the jacket's zipper. I can stretch my arms back and the zipper unzips nearly all the way down. The jacket is useless if the zipper doesn't stay put. If it weren't for the dreadful zipper, I could give this jacket 4 or 5 stars. I don't like the color options. The men seem to have more and better color choices. However, I liked the nice slim fit and coziness of this jacket. I’m 5’10” and appreciated its somewhat longer length in the back. I took my usual Acteryx size medium. I can’t comment on the durability of the jacket since I haven’t worn it and can’t keep it. Please Arcteryx make this jacket with a better zipper because I’d love to purchase this jacket if it came with a zipper which stayed zipped.

Wonderfully comfy
I just love this fleece. I ended up buying a second one in a different colour to go with my Arteryx jacket (dimma). The first one I bought was size small (labyrinth) and the second is medium which allows me to wear a heavier sweater underneath it. They are both wonderful.
