Dansko Clogs - Where has the support gone! :-(
Dansko Professional Clogs have been my absolute go-to casual shoe with great support for everyday wear. I have had foot problems in the past and am VERY careful about having proper arch support in all of my shoes. I buy one to two pair of these clogs each year or so. I have been so thankful that REI has carried them and can be my go to store! Previously, I was disappointed to find that the arch support had almost disappeared. I returned that "bad" pair and tried again. What I got was great. I was relieved! Alas, in this recent order of 2 pair of Dansko Clogs, I find myself very disappointed that neither pair has the stability or arch support that the Professional Clogs used to offer consistently. One pair seemed to be a bit better than the other, so I wore them to work today with hope to see if my feet would be happy. I walked the normal amount for an office oriented job. - Sadly, at the end of the day heading from work to my car, I noticed that horrible twinge of heel pain from lack of support.... I am so sad - almost broken hearted. I may try again, but this is not boding well for the future of Danskos for me. I wish that, if Dansko was going to lessen the classic arch support that has made these shoes a go-to for so many folks on their feet over the years, Dansko would simply make a great clog with no arch support at all. At least this way I could put in a quality insert for support like I do with my running and walking shoes! I wonder what other people are finding with Danskos lately.... I used to recommend these shoes readily; at this time I would do so with great reluctance and ONLY if that person was buying at a store with a very good return policy like REI or Nordies.......... The 2 pair of clogs I just got are both going back. I will try again because I still love the Dansko clogs! I want to keep loving them!. But, I am, sadly, preparing myself for the chore of searching for another quality, supportive, nice looking shoe again.
Where are my old clogs?
Disappointed. I have had a pair previously that were perfect. I ordered the exact same size, and they were too big. Exchanged for a smaller size but they are not as comfortable as old ones. I have worn several times to break in. I am perplexed as to what might have changed.
The arch support is gone
This is such a sad day. I wore these clogs all day to work assuming they were identical to my pair from 2017. My foot aches so badly after working that I began to compare old to new. The inside lining is cheap. The arch is 1/2” if not more lower than the old pair. The arch support is the only reason I buy the clogs as this is crucial to my standing at my job all day. At this point I may say goodbye to dansko. This is sad to me. I though I had found my shoe.
Soles break in half
Dansko says: Too bad, throw away and just buy another pair. Four pairs with broken soles so far. Very disappointed--I have at least 10 pairs of Dansko. Shoe repair place can't repair Dansko soles. Now Dansko has become a throwaway shoe.
