HOW TO MEASURE:
Neck: Around the fullest part of the neck, at the base.
Chest: Around the chest, just under the arms and across the shoulder blades.
Sleeve: From the center back of the neck, across the shoulder, and down the arm to the wrist.
Waist: Around the narrowest part of the waist.
Hip: Around the widest point of the hips.
Inseam: From the crotch to the anklebone on the inside of the leg.

These pants have a very comfortable but slim/ regular fit. Perfect for active wear or just around town. They have held up very well to dirt rock and even the washing machine, color has stayed nice with no fading and I will definitely be ordering another pair. Even my cat loves them!

Go to pants for lounging, climbing and anything else. Seem to have a constantly improving design, I’ve owned 5 pairs and they hold up better than anything else I’ve tried.

This pant is light and comfortable, but not quite sturdy enough for outdoor work. As a hiking pant, the fit seems boxy. The "adjustable" waistband has an elastic attachment within the pant waist that after a short time proves itself useless. I'm a size 31-32 and the 32 ordered was too baggy - even on the maximum cinch setting on the waist, the elastic began to wear and sag. There are some elastic drawstrings in the cuff as well, but also seemingly designed as an advertisement feature rather than something practical, as the elastic just gets in the way when used.

Best fair weather climbing pants

Super comfortable, easy to move in, and a good balance between a close fit with minimal ‘extra’ fabric but not tight or binding. I can chimney, high-step and stretch in these as well or better than in sweats. I have two pairs of these, the older with two years of frequent hard wear—lots of multi pitch climbing including off widths and groveling chimneys. Even the older pair still looks good with little sign of wear. With a high proportion of cotton these aren’t great in the rain but this also contributes to their comfort. Awesome!

The cinch at the bottom is crucial and I dig the blueish gray and black tones. The pants fade after repeated washings and lose the shiny look, which I actually prefer. The front pockets are a little high and tight, but that's also good to keep things secure when active. The crotch gusset and knee articulation is great and the waist adjustment hook is great so as to not require a belt. The front zipper puckers a little, though, and I'd love a redesign that gives a tiny bit more room there to alleviate.

I have bought this pants 6 times, I have seen the improvements through the years. I recommend this pants for all kind of activities, outdoors or indoors, very comfortable. The last ones I bought have an elastic band or it feel like it on the integrated belt, I prefer the belt without elastic. And I prefer the zippered pocket to face backwards. I also think the elastic on the ankles might be better if could be adjusted on the inner part of the ankles (maybe). GREAT PANTS, I will buy them again.

First off, thank you BD for making odd sizes. I love these pants, I've bought two in different colours. They have an easy (and elastic) waist adjustment to help contour in those tight positions. I've worn these climbing and to weekend outtings. I'll say the chalk does brush off easily lol, even from the Port colour. The material is stretchy enough to work for climbing, yet firm enough to look nice with a dress shirt or sweater. I will buy these again and I storngly recommend them. Fit: I'm measured 89cm waistline (pant waistline) and 98 cm hip (around the tush), toned and athletic build (170 lbs, 5'10"). 31 works really well for me. I have 30's for when I slim down in the summer months; although the 30's get tighter in the thighs, the material still stretches enough to be comfortable for canoeing and hiking.

Great pants but dont put them in dryer

I should have sized up 1 or two sizes. These were my favorite pants to landscape in. I usually wear dickies to work and skate in so these were a real upgrade. So comfy and just the right amount of stretch, I didnt want to take them off. My partner accidentally put them in the dryer and they shrunk like 2 or more sizes. They now look like comical spandex capri pants. These aren’t preshrunk cotton so size accordingly or air dry. Love black diamond stuff though

Pants are tough to find. Especially as a man who looks for uphill. I purchased these on a whim and love them. I didn't even have to visit a tailor! If you're a runner, biker or lifter, these pants are for you and are sized apprioriately with stretch to help. If you count calories, ride a fixie to a thrift store, hike 100 yards max to the local boulder or don't have thighs thick as peanut butter, knock off a size to accomodate those chickens.

Stylish climbing pants

I have to say I wasn’t expecting this pants to be tge right fit for me. They proved me wrong. They are stretchy and sturdy for any type of climbing you wanna go with. I’ve been using them for around town as well and almost feel guilty about wrecking them on the wall but they have been taking the beat up like a champ. True to size, I’m 5’9 and 200lbs, athletic build and they fit me snug without restrictions, I got 32” waist. Highly recommended
