Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.
SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.
TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

I don't write reviews! I love this jacket, and I am so sad REI discontinued the women's line. The GTX active is super breathable fabric. I have used this jacket cycling, hiking, backpacking, and snowboarding and I don't over heat! People complain about the pockets being vents but it is GENIOUS for saving weight. As someone that runs hotter, it's hard for me to give in to GTX jackets without pit zips. This jacket keeps some sort of vents without sacrificing weight. It packs down small enough to fit in my handle bar bag. Mine is still in good condition after three years, but I need to replace it because it is too big now! Please make this jacket for women again!
This jacket served me perfectly during my thru hike of the Long Trail during June. We had a few pretty rainy days and a couple of large thunderstorms. The Drypoint held up well, except for one crazy thunderstorm where everything got soaked. This jacket is so LIGHT and it proved perfect for backpacking. A lot of people scream foul when there aren't pit zips, but I don't think they're necessary with the Gore Tex Active. The hood is reasonably easy to adjust and it kept water out of my eyes. The pockets are placed perfectly access when carrying a backpack. For sizing, I'm 6" and 185 and the large fits well even with some mid layers underneath.
This is an excellent rain jacket! I have owned Marmot Precip Jackets before now, but they always delaminated and wetted through. I was looking to step up to a Gore-Tex and the REI Co-Op hit the right price point for quality. Usually, I buy a rain jacket and then experience a drought. Not this time! Water beads and rolls off like a duck's back. The waterproof zipper is stiff, but reassuring. The hood and bill are deep enough to cover your face and fit a cap, but not a helmet. The material is a bit stiff but seems to help with ventilation and does not stick to skin. I did not overheat on a brisk hike in the mid-60's.
Just come back from three weeks of trekking in Nepal. Fortunately, the weather was dry most days. But, it did get pretty cold and windy once we were above the treeline. So, I ended up wearing this jacket days for wind protection, usually over a few layers, and/or a light down jacket. All in all, it performed really well. It kept me dry in light snow, and breathed well enough to keep me dry when we were hiking hard. On this trip at least, I didn't miss having pit zips. Overall, I liked the design of the jacket. The pockets were high enough that they didn't snag my backpack hipbelt. The sleeves also had enough length to be pulled down over my hands when I was cold and couldn't be bothered going into my pack for gloves. The fit runs a bit on the big side. A size L fitted me well, even over a light down jacket. For comparison, in most other brands - especially, Arcteryx - I'd need an XL to get that much room.
Purchased this jacket about 2 months ago and absolutely love it. Have worn it for long day hikes around Seattle and also for short 30min dog walks in the pouring rain. Not a single leak, very comfortable, and very light and breathable. This is by far the best rain coat I have ever owned. Purchased an XL so I could wear a down jacket underneath for colder days, which works great, as well as loose and breathable on warm rainy days. Lastly, the hood is a nice bonus, as you can see to your side rather than the typical tunnel vision you end up with in some jackets.
Finally tried this product after trying other rain shells. The VERY expensive shells didn't fit in either M or L, while others in this price range were really wet inside after exertion, and also had XL hoods. This jacket could not fit me better, has an easily adjustable right-size hood, and after exertion in the cold, the inside was completely dry. Unzipping the mesh pockets to core vent appears to have worked, and the weight is fantastic. Rolls-up in to the hood. Using Gore-Tex is a great move by REI. So far, can't find one negative thing about this shell. It is simply perfect.
I used this jacket extensively in Wyoming's Winds and Colorado's South San Juans this summer (2021) and it kept me dry and protected. I encountered a lot of rain exposure on both backpacking trips and day hikes and it never let a drop of rain in. I did have to keep adjusting the front zipper to avoid excessiver perspiration buildup when the temps were warm but that was a minor inconvenience. I gave it 4 stars for its light weight, packability, good fit and price. I would have given it 5 stars if it had pit zips and at least one interior drop pocket. But at a price point of $175, I must say I'm very pleased with the Drypoint jacket overall.
Love the simplicity and function of this design! One of the best minimalistic Gore-Tex jacket designs out there. Fits true to size with enough room for a down sweater underneath, and light enough for summertime. The only thing I would add is a Velcro tab on the rear hood to pull back the brim when you don’t have a hat to keep the hood from covering your eyes. Can’t speak to the durability yet, but I’ll be heartbroken if it doesn’t hold up. The blue looks better in person, also!
I was quite surprised at how light it was. Wore it a number of times in low 20 degree weather on strenuous hikes. Kept me warm as an outer shell and despite the fact that I was perspiring, the inside of the jacket did not have any moisture at all. The only place where it had moisture was on the label inside on the upper part of the jacket. So it breathes quite well. The fit was comfortable with a mid layer fleece jacket worn underneath.
Living in the NW, decent rain protection is a must (especially when you don't own an umbrella). I have several rain jackets but have found myself reaching for the Drypoint consistently, and not just for the trail. This jacket strikes a perfect balance between features and weight. I particularly enjoy the attention to detail, from the tailored cut on the cuff to the zipper pulls. The fit adjustments on both the hood and the cuffs are simple and easy to use, they function well and don't add any unnecessary weight to the jacket. So far I have taken the jacket on the trail, running in a downpour, an even found myself grabbing it as I headed out for a wet day on the slopes. There is something really appealing about how light this jacket is that makes it wonderful to wear, (and throw in your pack!) especially when you can easily count on it to keep you COMPLETELY dry.
