I was hesitant to buy this product since I have a wide foot and would have preferred a wider toe box boot. But this was the only insulated boot in store and I bought one size up and use a heavy weight hiking sock. I only used them twice so far in NH and RI with some elevation and the boots were tight enough but I was able to wiggle my toes. I would love to see more boots for women wide feet on the market. In store to try then on
Highly recommended for snow and icey winter outdoor sports. Stable, Warm, Tough
I have big feet so it’s hard to find women’s shoes that fit let alone winter boots. I had some other snow boots but they were a little too tight after wearing a synthetic liner and thick darn tough calf socks. These new ones keep my feet warm with a little wiggle room. The only downside is they rub my ankles a little after an hour since I’m used to wearing trail runners all summer and fall. Just have to remember to tape my ankles beforehand. Everyone else was complaining of cold feet. Love these boots!
I'd never even heard of this brand of boots but after reading reviews decided to try them out. They are incredible! I found the fit true to size, not small like other reviewers reported. They provided great ankle support, kept my feet toasty warm and best of all, I was sure footed! The traction was wonderful! I hiked all over Utah in all kinds of conditions; snow, ice, mud, sand, etc and these did great in everything and were so comfy. They are high quality and I'm guessing will last me a long, long time. Highly recommend.
I was so excited to find this boot! It is very warm and has great gripping soles for hiking. However, the way these are made means the tongue folds and makes a bulky knot that jams into my inside ankle bone. It must hit a nerve with how painful it is when it sits right there. I sure wish these didn't have such a bulky fold in the tongue. If not for that they'd be a 5 star boot!
I wore these out for the first time snowshoeing this past weekend. They kept my feet warm, comfortable, and dry! My toes typically get cold when out in the cold but these kept them warm (not sweaty) although I was sweating from our hike! I sized up 1/2 size from my regular shoe size for a thick sock. Super glad I purchased these!
I returned the first pair because I had worn them in snow, walking dogs and by the time I was home they were wet inside. I couldn’t even wear them for the rest of the day. I thought maybe it was a defect and had really liked the comfort and warmth of these boots. I ordered another pair and wore them in the same kind of conditions and after my dog walk they were wet inside again. I am unable to wear them again for the day until they dry out. Very disappointing for such a good brand and after two tries, i will not be getting another pair. I will go back to Keen’s. I’ve never had this issue with Keen winter boots.
I've been looking for a taller winter boot with support for snowshoeing with a wide toe box. Where has this boot been???!!! Warm enough for me that is also stiff enough to hold up to snowshoe bindings. Rubber (ish?) tread & up sides so will keep feet dry if sloppy conditions. I had no issues with ankle being uncomfortable nor did I have an issue pulling them on despite my high instep. Yes, they don't quite "slip" on but that's not the kind of boot I was looking for. I am beyond thrilled to find a tough weather resistant (can't say for certain the entire boot is waterproof as I haven't tried them through puddles yet but for sure the bottom & up sides a bit is) boot. And as a side note - the laces actually stay tied. So many laces I have to double knot. Maybe these will wear out sooner but I like being able to just tie them "normally" and they stay put. They even have a D-ring to attach gaiters on the front.
So happy these exist! Like a lot of women, I have wide feet across the ball but not the mid foot or heel, and my feet are too small for men's shoes. I have been wearing zero drop flexible boots for 3-4 years, so I can't stand boots that are constricting. These are the only serious winter boots I've found that fit and are good for winter backpacking, snowshoeing, etc. I'm a 7.5 but my big toe bumped the end in these so I went up to an 8 wide, which works great for cold weather camping because warm air in the boot means warmer feet. There are REALLY warm. I get sweaty in them if I'm hiking a few miles, but around camp or standing around downtown they are perfect.
I bought these in 2018 to replace leaky boots. I work for the post office and every winter my feet would get soaked by the end of the day. I was looking for boots that would keep my feet dry. I am outside for more than half of my work day delivering mail and packages and having wet feet is a drag. Three years later my boots still have years of life left and I highly recommend them. They seemed expensive to me at first, but they are totally worth the price. My feet stay dry and I don’t have to get a new pair every winter. I bought a bigger size then I would normally wear because I wear thick socks. I suggest going to the store and trying different sizes on to find the best fit.
