The glue sticks to the peeled off plastic
I bought two of these stomp pads and both were defective. The glue stuck to the plastic backing of the pad when removed. No glue was left on the pad for application. Using a hair dryer did not help whatsoever. The manufacturing process for these could use additional quality assurance. Avoid at all costs.
Dakine Stomp pad
Great stomp pad, Great traction, does a great job. Sometimes the backing can be a little finicky to separate from the adhesive. But, once you do as long as you prep your board and apply it at room temperature so it can adhere and isn't going anywhere. What a great deal, less than $6 dollars for a dakine stomp pad. Thanks REI
Didn't stick
I tried for a good while to get this thing to stick. I looked up the instructions they gave me as well as watched tutorials on YouTube and for some reason the one I purchased wouldn't work. I ended up giving up and just forgetting about it
Fell off quickly
Bought this and put it on my board then took the board in to get waxed (back to REI actually) and realized it was gone when I got home. Never made it to the mountain with it but doesn’t seem like it would’ve lasted long.
Not what I wanted
I thought this would be a standard sticker-type stomp pad, but it has no adhesive and you have to use a hair dryer to adhere it to the board. I tried and it didn't work. Planning to return it.
Did not stick on
I applied these following all instructions, but the peel off backing took nearly all the adhesive with it and the pad only stuck for about three runs.
They've been stuck on our boards for years!
Between us, my partner and I have used five of these over the years and they've never budged. We followed the instructions of heating the board and stomp pad with a hair dryer before applying, pressing firmly and standing on it, and then letting it cure for 24 hours. We've had a 100% success rate. I love the clear round design. They're almost invisible and not too big and bulky, so they really let the board design shine.
Adhesive is not reliable
Went on my first run of the season, and after the first hour it fell off. Thankfully it wasn’t too far from me and I was able to notice it was missing, right away. I wouldn’t waste my money on this stomp pad. Many way better alternatives.
sticks fine good grip
Sticks fine after hair dryer heat Grip is strong and easily keeps boot on board Easy to apply but clear backer is not immediately obvious, must be removed otherwise no stickiness at all and not mentioned in paper script
