Great Layering Shirt
Warm, soft and durable. Looks just as good out at the restaurant as it does in the epic summit pics. Bought the blue first on sale then ordered the other color at full price. Seems to be cut wider in the chest and shoulders than most button up shirts. Did not shrink in washing.

Poor fit after wash; not expected Kuhl quality
Bought 2 of these shirts at REI sale 11/15/19. Fit was good in the store's dressing room, even over a Kuhl base layer. Before wearing for daily use we always wash garments. After washing according to instructions, both shirts shrank to an uncomfortable fit. Also, the fabric lint from the shirts completely covered the dryer filter, quite a wad. After the wash, the shirts hung well on the hangers with few wrinkles. The fabric felt soft as before washing. Those are the only positives. Tomorrow, it's a trip back to REI to return them; only the second, maybe third, return in decades of buying from REI. Spouse & I have other Kuhl products that are highly satisfactory. If you buy, be cautious.

It Looks great But is Not durable

This is a really beautiful Looking shirt. I bought it for my husband in November and gave it to him for Christmas. That was less than 2 months ago. He has worn it several times on the weekends - not to work- for lounging around the house, running errands, etc. In other words, it has gotten very light and gentle use. He pointed out to me a couple of days ago that it is already tearing near one of the cuffs, which for the price of it and such mild use feels disappointing. It does not appear that it would hold up to any heavier use.

Nice Shirt

Seems to be very well constructed. I generally wear a large and prefer loose rather than tight fit. This shirt (large size) fits me somewhere between medium and large so it isn't what I would consider a 'classic' fit. Material is very soft and tightly woven. A note about the color 'Starling Blue'. We all know monitors and graphic card settings all differ from one computer to the next....when I received the shirt that I thought was 'blue' it turned out to be what I would describe as a light 'slate' grayish blue rather than a more 'royal' blue that was indicated on my computer monitor. If you are looking for a BLUE shirt you would do well to visit an REI store and look at the shirt first before purchasing.

I Love These Shirts

I have purchased KUHL products in the past so had a high expectation of quality. I am an older guy with an active (but not skinny) build so often shirts are boxy in the middle and I feel like I am wearing a tent. These shirts fit me well through the middle which is unusual. The fabric is very soft and feels really good on my skin. I was a little concerned about potential shrinkage after washing, but the shirts held their size during washing which is great.

A Comfortable Go-To Choice

I own two Dillingr Flannels. Both are easily my most comfortable flannel shirts I own. They are lighter and breath better than other brands that are targeted toward everyday wear. The materials that Kuhl uses to line the inner neck-area of their shirts is very comfortable, even when you are outside for long periods of time. The shirts layer well with Kuhl jackets - they feel good and the colors match well. The flannel does 'wear' more in the wash than other flannel shirts. While the wear is noticeable, it still holds onto a good, rugged look. The flannel runs a little longer (2 to 2.5 inches or so) than some Kuhl jackets of the same size, which when worn together, can look somewhat awkward. I have chosen to hem my medium-sized Dillingrs by a couple of inches to line seamlessly with my Burr Jacket, which work together well for a casual fall day. I also use a fabric shaver to keep it looking clean.

Shrinks.

Shrinks a lot when washed and dried. Order a size up to account for this issue.

VERY slim cut.

VERY slim cut. I'm 6'2" and 180lb. I wear a 16-1/2 x 34-35. Other Kuhl large shirts fit me well. On this the sleeves are perhaps a bit longish but way too skinny. It's like a 15-1/2x35 so a large is for someone 6'5" and 160lbs.

Love Kuhl. Don't Love this Flannel

Did not like the fit. I found it too short for a flannel. Moreover, the cuffs are too tight for guys who wear bigger watches (like the Garmin Fenix for example). The cut appears to be the same as their summer shirts which doesn't work for me. I like to tuck in my flannels for the colder seasons. I like the tapered fit, but some additional room needs to given for the shrinking that will occur with washing. The quality of the flannel was okay, but it could be improved. For reference, I ordered a medium and am 5'9" 190lbs with about 20% body fat.
