byebye migraines, byebye sticky hydration mixes
Excessively sweating hiker/runner here; I return from runs/hikes 3 lbs lighter due to sweating that much. I chew a tablet 45 minutes in and pop 1 at each 30 minutes mark after (with water interspersed throughout). I'm finally ending the day without dehydration-related migraines. These tablets are my go-to. No more dealing with sticky hydration-watermixes I always spill on myself as I try to drink from my bottle while exhausted. Just pack several of these tablets + plain water = good to go!
Handy and Effective
I have POTS and require more electrolytes than most people. I recently took these on several long, hot hikes in Yosemite National Park. These tablets kept my friends and me going! I chose the watermelon flavor, and, honestly, it tastes awful. But I didn't buy it for the flavor. This is an easy way to keep your electrolytes up on the trail.
chewing tablets are best
great way to gain back salts!! if its salty then you dont need it, when it tastes good thats when youre missing it.
Amazing results!
It’s amazing how just a couple little tasty chews every half hour can save your race. No cramps no extreme tightness and no stomach issues…Crown King Scramble 50k in the books.
Half the electrolytes of the capsules, but more expensive
I was excited to try the fastchews because I thought they would be a more convenient way to get electrolytes on the trail. While they taste fine (I usually swig water after to help swallow and get the taste out anyways) on a long day, I noticed that they have half the electrolytes per serving (one quarter the electrolytes for an individual chew) as the capsules, and yet they're more expensive. So it's nearly 3 times the cost for the same amount of electrolytes. Maybe they work faster (hard for me to tell, I try to stay hydrated before my bonk, not using these mid-bonk), but if there's a lot less electrolytes, it's just not as good in my opinion.
My Favorite Flavor🍓🫐
These are my favorite Flavor & they really saved me during my Half Marathon Training in the Summer & Humid climates. I highly recommend.
Changed everything for me.
I used to get such severe cramping in my thighs and calves. I love to hike so I just pushed through it, and always thought I needed to "drink more water" especially living and hiking in Colorado at elevation. Turns out, I was making myself hyponatremic and throwing off my electrolyte balance so badly by drinking too much excess water that I would get those insane cramps. Finally did some research, realized I needed to balance my electrolyte loss during extreme physical activities like hiking 13ers & 14ers at 4000ft+ elevation gain and averaging 10+ miles. Grabbed these, and on my first intense hike with them I felt like I had performance enhancing drugs as I kept popping two of these tablets under my tongue every hour or so. I just kept going, passing many others along the way. No cramps and I went father and harder than ever before. These fastchews have given me so much more confidence in my abilities. I was so surprised with how little water I consumed. Everyone is different but for me, these are more valuable than simply water on my hikes. I just wish they were cheaper and wish they had a more concentrated version so I didn't have to constantly eat these things while hiking. I've only had the peach flavor, it's great. The orange is not Vegan for some reason, so keep that in mind if it matters.
Good for marathon
I carried these on my marathon and ate one every two miles from mile 14 on, along with water and some dates. They kept me hydrated and I PRed and sub-4ed, hitting my goal!
Best tabs ever!
I am a huge fan of SaltStick fast chews. I’ve been using them for years to keep hydrated during long runs. I was a faithful lemon-lime lady, the taste is so good! But recently, I’ve been trying other flavors and the berry is creeping up on me as my new fav. These tabs are super easy to chew as you run and I have certainly noticed a difference. I ran a half marathon this past weekend and took 2 tabs every hour, and felt energized and well hydrated and fueled the entire race. I can’t recommend SaltStick enough!
The best salty candy ever
Fast chews are my favorite way to keep up on my electrolytes. They taste like little salty candies. You can take them without water because when you need salt, you need it and can’t always wait until the next water stop to swallow a pill. I also really like they start working instantly since they dissolve in your mouth and don’t have to work through your whole digestive track. I often forget to take often or enough and start cramping but as soon as I start chewing on a fast chew the cramps dissipate quickly and then I remember to stay up on them. I take 1 every mile to 3 miles depending on the temps and humidity.
