Poor Quality
You guys should strongly consider a different sourcing partner for your Co-op tubes. These are poor quality Kenda tubes. I tried one and experienced a seam fail/blowout on the first inflate. I can also see the seal around the valve is failing and starting to peel back. I get that you want to offer a cheaper tube but i would gladly pay a little more for a higher quality product. Especially an important one. Cheap is cheap.
Defective Bicycle Tubes
By far the worst tubes I've ever tried using. This is the 2nd time I've bought these "Rei co-op" brand tubes and the 2nd time they've developed holes near the valve stem. Would not recommend. Other Rei brand stuff works fine, just not these tubes. Trust the bad reviews.
tubes consistently failed around valve area
bought 2 tubes with presta valve and both failed around the valve area. The first tube lasted less than 30 miles and the second one failed after less than 2 miles
Consistent valve failure
I bought 4 of these tubes last summer, and I am about to use my last one. After 3 flat tires, the only reason for each flat was a leak at the valve stem of the tube. Now I will seek a resolution w/ the REI product guarantee.
didn't ride much but a bunch of micro holes
i bought these for my bike and without even riding much, a bunch of micro holes formed.
Horrible tubes
Bought 2 tubes, both had slow leaks (lost pressure overnight), leaking in more than one place (tried to patch, still wouldn't hold air). Couldn't return because couldn't prove it was tube failure not user error. Maybe I'd get a refund if I had REI change the tube instead of buying the tube outright.
Poor quality control - 2x fails within minutes
Bought 2 of these tubes and both blew out within minutes of installation. Checked rim/tire at blowout after 1st tube failed and no issues. 2nd tube blew out in a separate location on the tube and again no issue with rim or tire.
Valve stems rip out ever bike ride
After replacing 6-8 of these tubes, I had REI look at my bike they found nothing wrong my rim/wheels-they installed the next tube-Same issue took only 1.5 miles of riding until flat. Not a Presta fan..
Any Better and It Would Be A Work of Art
There was a time when getting a quality inner tube, especially for a bicycle, was a crapshoot. Blessedly, those days are gone. The one thing you really had to watch out for was a weakness at the base where the stem meets the tube. Any kind of forceful pumping and you stood the chance of snapping the valve clean off. So it's probably just good policy to take it easy when you attach the pump and fill the tube. But with all that, the valve works, the tube holds air, it accepts a patch. Until these things install and repair themselves, this is the best you're gonna do.
Marketing free tube.
It’s a tube. It keeps the air in and the tire round. Nothing special. It does its job without boasting or creating needless branding or marketing gimmicks.
