Must Have for all Hikers.

I was looking for good hiking shoes for a while and finally decided to go with this. These shoes are really amazing. So far I've completed couple of 8-mile moderated hikes and small hikes and camping with these shoes. It doesn't feel tiring to the legs at the end of the day. Very conformable, Stylish and durable.

Not happy with purchase

These shoes are okay. For some reason my right foot is totally comfortable however my entire left and feet are sore even after a week of wearing these to the point I will no longer risk further injury just to feel like i am getting my moneys worth. I only used them lightly on paved ground and even put different insoles in them, switched shoes and let a friend try them. Same result, even after being broken in. Another issue is that the foam gets too squishy when its hot out and make it unstable. Being that they are calledI do not feel safe or comfortable to even try them on an easy trail. 1 star for poor customer service. they do not back there warranty.

Solid boot for everything

I work for search and rescue and got these boots to see how "north face" can fit into my world. I alrasdy love their clothing but these are my first boots by them. And I gotta give it to them. I have logged over 120 miles so far since I've gotten them and through mud, dirt, water, snow and scaling mountain sides. These are my new go to boots. Love the grip, durability, water protection and ankle savers. I would highly recommend these boots to anyone just getting into hiking boots or the experts that are in need of new ones.

Super comfy boot

I was looking for an "all around" boot for hiking, traveling, fishing and lots of different outdoor activities. I was in a Northface store and saw these. After looking at a few boots I ordered these off of the North Face site. My first impressions are good. First off, I love the lacing system. It allows the laces to tighten up the entire length of the boot (not just the top like some boots). So far the sole and shank appear to be a good mix of strong and flexible. This should be a good boot for hiking and fast packing with a light backpack. The boot also seems to be good at not overheating. I hate boots that do not let your foot breathe. So far it has been a good buy!

Quality boot materials and comfortable, but...

I'm now in the middle of waiting for a third pair of the same shoes, which concerns me. They are incredibly comfortable right off the bat, but the first pair I received made a strange squelching noise when I walked on normal road surfaces. I returned them and the second pair I received has a strange ripple in the fabric on the inside of the left shoe, which made them uncomfortable to wear. I still gave them four stars, however, because they look great and are otherwise very comfortable. I'm hoping I just got unlucky with the first two pairs. I will update this post after receiving the third pair.

My first North Face boots.

They were great on the past march I went to NYC and it was snowingand it only got slippery once It was because I was playing on a Central Park bridge and the sole got too much snow that it converted in to ice, the I broke some Ice on a street while walking and the waterproof protection helped me to stay dry I always wear them when it rains. Plus they´re very comfortable and lightweight

Excellent shoes. Some issues.

Loved the excellent right out of the box comfort and cushioning of these boots. Just did the 40 mile Rae lakes loop with no break-in needed. Toe box is comfortable with sufficient space to avoid much bruising of toes. (Unlike the NF Storm which is overly narrow at the toes). Superb lacing eyelet / hook option to allow for variable lacing method. Overall excellent quality. One complaint; the top of the tongue of the shoe is overly firm such that it dug into my shin which caused painful swollen bruising. I would have bought the low cut version of the endurus hike which probably would have avoided this issue but unfortunately they seem to be discontinued. Styling and color could be less geeky.

Solid shoes with a strange problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These mid hikers were intially great, if a little snug for width. I had no problems with the gore-tex being waterproof for wet grass and the like, which is what I needed them for. The tread is chunky and confidence-inspiring, and the build quality seemed great even after a decent amount of wear. However, after a day of working in some rocks and mud, the shoes are somehow full of what seems like gravel in the sidewalls. It's bizarre, because the shoes are completely intact; I can't figure out any way that the small rocks could get in there, unless it is actually some part of the inner lining of the shoe that has deteriorated and is now lodged in the sidewall. After being cleaned up, the shoes look almost new, but are unwearable due to the "rocks" digging into my feet in both shoes. I'm heartbroken that NF can do nothing for me, as their footwear warranty is "limited." I sadly will not be able to buy NF footwear again.

Highly recommend this shoes

I bought this shoes for hiking on mountain trails.. they are great for walking in all sorts of trails.. rain or shine you can hold your footing.. I don't typically buy shoes online, but I couldn't find these at a local store.. the website ask me about shoes I already wear and determined what would be the best fit for me in size and they were totally right.. the shoes fit perfectly... I recommend the use of the website for determining what size would fit you best as all shoe makers slightly vary on they're define sizes.. I love this shoes and will re-purchase them whenever these wearout
