The North Face  Offtrail Hike LT Mid GORE-TEX Hiking Boots - Men's

North Face, where is your quality control??? I haven't owned these for even two months and have less that 20 miles on them and they're falling apart! Not sure if it's just a defective pair but after looking at the other reviews, it seems to be a design/quality control issue that North Face needs to correct. I've been a North Face boot fan for over a decade and have been very pleased..................until now. I'll be returning these on my next trip to REI and buying trying out some other brand.

I like the look of these but that's it. I hike for work and need a sturdy boot, I chose north face because of its reputation for quality gear. I will never buy North face products again. The boots are coming apart at the seems, literally. The tread on the bottom was cheap plastic stuff and was ripping apart, leaving me slipping on inclines. Recently the entire front portion of the boot actually separated from the sole underneath, and I can't even wear them bc I am worried I will fall due to the boot. Please, buy something else. North face won't do returns and I am disappointed. Never again will I buy a North face product.

Boots are comfortable and good for long hikes, but the rubber seals around the soles are coming unglued after just a few months. Going to try re-gluing them to see

I'll start by saying I wanted to love these shoes. I used them this weekend for trip to Yosemite. They are super comfortable, supportive on all terrain I threw at them, and truly water proof. I was raving about them to everyone at my campsite. However, I came home and upon looking at the sole of the shoe, noticed that it was starting to come off on the left foot and rocks were starting to collect underneath the rubber. This was going to be a 5 star review and immediately turned into a 2 star one. Dont buy these shoes until North Face fixes their QA process. Once they do, buy these. They're awesome.

I’m not one to usually look towards North Face for footwear, I was impressed with my friend’s trail runners they had put out under the same Offtrail moniker, so decided to give these a try. I’ve been taken these hiking shoes out on a few wet/snowy hikes now. They’ve consistently kept my feet dry from the melting snow streams and mud, and provided solid protection against rocks and roots trails without feeling too disconnected. The grip is awesome, and the lugs seem deep enough that they won’t sheer off too quickly from any scrambles, but I’ll update if they don’t last long, or harden into that smooth slippery feel like a pair of my trail runners did (turning them into ice skates on the rocks). They are a bit heavier than some other hiking shoes I’ve worn. Initially, I was concerned this might lead to fatigue on longer hikes. However, I found that the sturdiness and support they offer is worth it. Overall, I’m enthused with these shoes so far, as it was a bit of a leap to grab them without any previous reviews any other customers or blogs (I like to find what a boots failure point typically is so I can reinforce it and preclude it from happening to mine), but couldn’t find any anywhere. That said I can’t wait to get them out deeper into the Shenandoah and all around Appalachia and to see how they hold up and break in to some real extended use.

Bought these boots 2 weeks ago, but had to exchange them. They look great and probably one of the most comfortable I’ve ever purchased, but after 4 hikes the boots started falling apart unfortunately.

Bought these in March for this hiking season. Very nice looking boot. They fit well and were comfy on my wide feet. However they couldn’t stand up to harsh hiking conditions. After less than 3 months the left heel gave way and came separated from the rest of the boot. These may be good for casual wear but avoid them for trail use.

Bought these boots on a whim, and glad I did. Due to some previous injuries, I need boots that offer great ankle support, while also being comfortable. These boots have fit the bill. Very comfortable, support is outstanding, the fit is perfect, and the wide toe box gives me feet a little extra room when wearing thicker socks on longer hikes. I like them so much, I bought another pair to put away for when these eventually wear out!

Let me start by saying these boots needed no break in period, they are light and extremely comfortable. But as some other reviews have mentioned. The seems are splitting within short time. I wore these for 1 month before going on a 10 Day Elk Hunting Trip. The boots preformed great. But after the 10 days the inside seem along your big toe is already splitting. Not what I would expect from a $200 Boot.

Did amazing!! On my multi day hike out climb trip, caught rain first trail day and not only stayed completely dry but what slippery rocks not with these I'm hard core into NF now and break in time was almost nonexistent looking for a tough solid boot these are the best in my opinion 🤙🏼dirtbag approved
