KEEN  Newport H2 Sandals - Toddlers'

I am picky when it comes to what goes on my kid's feet and I found Keen Newport sandals to be an excellent choice. They have just the right amount of wideness and room in the toe box for growing toes yet they are sturdy enough to handle rough play. The reinforced toe ensures toes stay protected on the playground. The soles have excellent grip on wet surfaces and their feet stay cool and get less sweaty with the partiall open top. The only down side is the velcro strap does wear down a bit with use causing some frayed edges but it does continue to stay closed during active play which is what matters. Overall I would recommend these shoes for any active toddler.

Saw these in my local REI a few months ago and didn't feel it was practical to spend $55 on shoes for a growing toddler. More recently, my son enthusiastically hiked half a mile on one of my favorite wooded trails. It was obvious his inexpensive shoes were holding him back. He's also had a fairly consistent foot size for a few months so I decided to bring him back to REI and try them on. The way he strutted around the store, he clearly liked the way they felt. A week later, they've remained a consistent upgrade for daily use and hiking. They dry well and aren't smelly after getting wet. His feet stay cool and don't seem to chafe around the ankle strap. He falls a lot less in them compared to other shoes. They even have good grip underwater. We love them.

First, the negative reviews are based on sizing issues. The sizing is based on normal shoe sizing. All kids have different size feet - so 4 is not for 4 year olds; it's for size 4 shoes. Second, my daughter loves these shoes. She grabs them first before any of her other shoes. To me, this means that they are comfortable and she likes wearing them. Third, the strap is easy to use but that also means she can take them off - usually in the car...But we don't mind this. If you want something your child cannot take off, don't get these.

If you know what size your child wears, there is no problem with these wonderful Keens. I find it best to go one size up.

These are our absolute favorite shoes for our son. The sturdy toe protects his foot and the fit is so comfy and roomy but they never slip off! Plenty of toe room for his wide developing foot. We will definitely be buying another pair when he outgrows these, and I think mama and papa might need a pair too…

Son wore these shoes once and they’ve already begun falling apart. I put in a warranty claim and haven’t heard back. Pretty sad.

Delighted with these shoes for our very active one year old. They fit well, stay on given Velcro straps (no mean feat) and are made with adult-quality materials and craftsmanship to provide stability and traction for our early walker, unlike the flimsy shoes they replaced which were part of the tripping hazard. They also look great and receive frequent complements from total strangers.

Buy these sandals for my kids every summer! Great quality, and great protection for little toes!

I purchased these for my 1.5 year old. The size 7T fit him as I expected and we had no sizing issues. He wears them on all of our outdoor adventures and he loves them. I love them because they are easy to put on, have a protective toe area, and dry without shrinking. I will definitely be purchasing him another pair next summer!

Everyone asks us what they are and all of our friends and family are getting them for their kids! Hands down the best, most comfortable and supportive shoe. My son has multiple shoes and he only wears these. He even crawls to get them and hands them to us to go outside. He doesn’t do that with any other shoe. Also they are great for wide feet because they are adjustable and forgiving.
