Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything you could ask for in work-horse of a rope I would be very surprised if anyone who picks up this rope for the first time isn't immediately impressed by it's soft supple feel and electric blue sheen. It seems to strike a nice balance between a beefier mid-10mm and uber light sub 9mm rope. It's smooth running when feeding out line for leader and looks like it will be a great work-horse of a rope. I haven't used it enough to comment on overall durability, but I trust BD on their design for heavy use for year-round climbing. If you're looking for a good day-in-day-out crag rope, this is a strong contender.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent rope, great middle line! I had been divided between getting a bi-pattern rope or this one and what won me over was the ridiculously easy to see midline here. Even if I'm setting up a repel in the dark, you can't miss it. The rope is high quality as is assumed from BD products, has a nice feel to it and is perfectly uniform. Also for the price and this being a 70M rope, I couldn't be happier. I had compared with a Sterling bi patterned rope which was significantly more money and this rope will more than meet my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice cord for pulling plastic It's pretty cool that we have gyms tall enough to warrant putting a middle marker on a gym rope, we've come a long way. It's a nice safety feature on a smooth-handling rope that works well with both ATCs and GriGris.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rope!!!!! I got this rope a few weeks ago. I love it. I don't like stiff ropes or ropes that feel static like cables. This rope is soft and handles really well. I got the 9.9 in hopes it'll last longer, the nice thing is it feels smaller than a 9.9. It's really a great rope!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far great and burly gym rope Great rope for gym climbing, feeds well through the belay device. With it being a gym rope and not having to worry about fraying as much, should be a workhorse for everyday use. My largest complaint is how it came packaged. It was not lap coiled and was in an alpine coil. This caused the entire rope to have a 1/4 twist and took ages for it to get straight in a gym application. Since it is difficult to do a full rap in the gym or outside, it took many flaking and lowering to get it to not kink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Rope This rope was touted as being a heavy use, every day rope so I purchased it and took it climbing in the eastern Sierra. After 9 days of dragging it over Sierra granite it still looked good but was very dirty. I returned home and put it in the front loader and it came out looking like the day I bought it. Also, it is very supple and feels like a smaller diameter rope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth Rope Used this Rope in 3 gym sessions so far. Practiced lead falls but have not taken any larger whips yet. The rope fed really smooth from the first belay. No issues with twisting or tangles. Also works very well with the mammut auto locking belay device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the gym! Picked this rope up about a month ago because I needed a gym rope. Split it in two and BAM! Two gym ropes! Seriously though, it handles great, feels awesome, easy to feed through an ATC, and is just a super cool color.

Is this a good fit for a rope swing located in the US SE?   I know nothing about climbing ropes: I just need my kids to be safe on a year - round swing exposed to high temps and humidity with freezing winter temps.  Any suggestions welcome. Many thanks.

This is a climbing rope with dynamic stretch and, like all our climbing rope, is not recommended for other uses.
