Bombproof

I've got a wide foot and these are one of the few MTB shoes on the market that fot my foot. Been using these up to four times a week for the last six months for enduro style riding and they have held amazing. I'm rough on gear and I'm beyond impressed with how these have held up. Great shoes and I plan on buying another pair down the road.

Great heavy duty shoe for gnarlier rides, tricky cleat setup.

Pluses- Super comfy and confidence inspiring low-top riding 'boots'. Heavy duty toe box makes me not worry about rock strikes or dabbing in the wrong rocky place. Minuses- Don't love that they are so heavy don't breathe too well and I've never had so much trouble dialing in the cleat to shoe setup in my 30+ years riding with clipless. (super deep cleat recess and tacky 5-10 rubber made releasing all but impossible until I completed screwed in my pedal studs AND added double shims under each cleat)

Worse shoe ever

I had previously used a pair of Five Ten Freeride Pro shoes when I was riding flat pedals and they were amazing. I figured that I would stick to the brand that impressed me with my first pair of shoes, but that was a mistake. The first pair the threads stripped out in the cleat insert before they were even torqued to the manufacturers spec. REI is amazing and replaced that pair for free. I'm about a month into wearing the second pair and the cleats keep twisting even when torqued to spec with loctite. This actually caused a crash during a race because I was unable to unclip properly. I also can never keep the shoes tightened properly. They always seem to loosen up after about 5 miles into a trail, and if you tie them really tight they cause weird pressure points that make my feet feel tingly/numb. Extremely disappointed with the quality and I will definitely be returning these to try Shimano shoes.

Heavy but nice

I was very skeptical when I opened the box. The shoes are heavy and look clunky, especially since I’m used to more traditional cycling shoes. I took a shot and wore them out for a ride, they are very comfortable, clip in and out well from the pedals, and are feel very stable. I definitely recommend. Only complaint is that the Velcro strap could be a little longer.

Great for those with wide feet!

This shoe fits half-a-size bigger. I fit either a US10 or US10.5. For example, the Vasque Breeze III Low GTX Hiking Shoes run a little small for me so I need a US10. For these shoes, US10 still provides a very comfortable toe box. You don't need these shoes to be a tight fit, because the way they have designed it, the velcro strap locks your heel and ankle in very solidly. While allowing your toes wiggle room. Soles are super sticky and tend to pick up everything, so if you wear your shoes indoors, beware. Feed through of the velcro strap buckle is a tight fit. But so far no issues with the leading edge of the strap wearing out. Getting into the shoe can be a bit of a pain as the collar tends o be a bit tight, so I have to loosen the laces well before putting on. Easy to install cleats, and the cleat well is deep enough that my cleats don't contact the floor. One downside is that this shoe gets a bit sweaty in Singapore's humid climate. Since this is not a waterproof shoe anyway, I would appreciate more ventilation. Overall, I am impressed with this shoe.

Extremely heavy and stiff

This shoe is more like a steel toed work boot than a mountain biking shoe. Each one weighs almost 2 lbs. Returned immediately!

Built like a tank

Bombproof bike shoes. Comfortable with great grip. Strap could do with being a fraction longer but overall great shoes
