As a veterinary and first aid professional, I can say this product is a nice idea- and DOES definitely have some useful items in it - AND it is also more a marketing masterpiece than legitimately helpful product for us adventurers. Like with human FAK's, these can and should be built too your specific needs. The fact is you can build/personalize a solid human first aid kit that also accommodates the special materials necessary for canine care (at a fraction of the cost). Some of the items in this kit are just less useful and more bulky. And some important items are missing. The first aid guide included is not up to current veterinary care standards (some of which is downright scary and dangerous). It is fantastic (and necessary!) to be prepared and to be including your dog in that preparedness! We absolutely owe it to them when we choose to include them in our outings! But we also owe them the time and effort it takes to understand how to properly and safely use any first aid item we are carrying. My hope is Adventure Medical Kits will eventually invest in some better research and maybe even partner with qualified folks to construct a more streamlined and useful kit, and more importantly, if they can't find a better-educated source to write the first aid field guide, they should perhaps leave it out. :/ My concern is that this kit can give really well-meaning folks a false sense of security, or worse, mislead them to unintentionally cause harm to their dogs. (As a vet tech I have seen some awful examples of this). If you buy this kit, you really need to spend some time understanding the contents, and ask your vet for guidance. Any good veterinarian will be happy to support you and your dog in this way!

Pawsomely Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Adventure Dog Series Medical Kit is the top notch first aid kit for dogs. It has everything my fur baby Echo could ever need. My dog Echo goes camping and hiking with the family. The kit contains wound cleaning supplies, paw care items, a field guide and a tick remover. Be sure to take one on your next hiking with your fur baby. It's always better to be prepared.

Me & my dog medical bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pretty excited to this. As I am always out walking in the woods with my dog. He does love to swim and roll in huge mud puddles when he gets the chance. If you have a dog and you love the great outdoors invest in something like this. This way you are always prepared for an emergency.

Awesome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is actually really cool. I didn't open it completely because I wanted everything to fit back in it. I haven't had to use it yet but let me tell you I love it already. It has a book inside that tells you how to help your pet and yourself in all different types of situations. We take our dogs camping alot. We had a 1st aid kit for humans in our camper but now we have one to help with our pets too. It looks small but there's alot of stuff in it. I just really love this it makes me feel more confident in helping my pet if something were to ever happen. It's packed full but small enough that while hiking it wouldn't be bulky or heavy.

Amazing Kit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am blown away with this kit. This kit is small and compact and easily fits into a backpack. It is a very comprehensive kit with just about anything you could need for an emergency for yourself or your dog while out. The kit has carrying handles on it which makes it easy to grab and go. The colors, a light green and light brown, make it easy to find in your gear. On the outside of the bag, there is a place to write an emergency and regular vet phone number. The Wilderness and Travel Medicine comprehensive guide covers an extremely wide variety of medical issues that could arise. I strongly recommend this kit for those that like to hike with their dog.

Careful. Contents can leak!

Nice kit to have when I take my dog on hikes with me. But.... discovered that the hydrogen peroxide packet leaked and ruined everything else in the kit. The leak proof bag kept everything inside safe from the elements but not from itself! Will replace some of the contents but not the peroxide. Very disappointing.

Every Pet Owner Needs One!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Adventure Medical Kit - Adventure Dog Series Trail Dog is packed with essential items for emergency pet care. Contents are suitable for a wide variety of incidences such as Wound Care, Sprain & Strain Care, Tick Removal and much more. The attractive Green/Beige Carry Case is well constructed. It features nylon webbed carry straps & double zipper pulls. I really appreciate that it offers a place to write my vet's emergency and daytime phone #'s on the case. A unique feature of this Adventure Dog Series Trail Dog-Adventure Medical Kit is that the kit can be registered on their website, where items can be tracked for easy refill orders. Highly Recommend!

Piece of mind

This kit provides peace of mind when I am out in the boonies with my two dogs. It has the essentials, although it could be improved with the addition of a snake bite kit. I think it's too bulky to carry on an extended track, but will find that out when the time comes.

Hope I don't have to use this

I purchased this for my road trip with my two dogs in case we're "in between vets." This has the essentials while being a decent price. I hope I never have to use this but you never know with traveling and dogs. I also added a tourniquet to this pack and it fit well. The bag is good quality and I like there is a waterproof bag inside to keep everything dry. Happy to now have this available when at home too.
