Btw, one of the nights we wear out it had rained heavy, and we didnt get even a hint of rain in the tent. super water proof and pleanty of room for my GF and I. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally A high quality fast set up family tent We have loved the idea of fast set up style tents but before we had a chance to use this one we could not find a good one. The frame on this works great and is built very well. Everything from the fabric to the well thought out windows are made of the kind of quality and features that we would want. The first time setting this up it took us a bit longer but we can now do it easily in under a minute with 2 of us. If your looking for a very easy to use large tent, this is a well made bargin in my book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can stand up in my home now!!! I have lived : On a bench. In a tree. By a creek. Now in a tent. For four years, I have been homeless. I live on MacArthur Blvd in Oakland, CA just west of the westbound entrance to 580-880 north..west. I love this tent. it is perfect size, height, etc... for me. I was attacked recently in Crown Plaza Park in Oakland and my first rapid tent was destroyed. So for me to go out and buy a new one shows my loyalty to this product. REI customer service manager Jill in El Cerrito, CA was a dream to do business with. Thank You, Jackie Caylor

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands down the easiest tent setup ever! Used the Caddis rapid 6 tent this weekend camping in the Gorge. I must say this was one of the easiest tents to setup and tear down I have ever seen! Weekend camping with two dogs I feel like half the trip is taken up with making and breaking down camp . This streamlined the whole process and made the trip a breeze . Plenty of room for the whole family, and our gear, and I love the giant windows! Definitely recommending this product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We love it! We bought this tent simply for the fast and easy set up. It was everything we hoped for. Nice space inside with lots of storage pockets. We fit a queen air mattress and a dog kennel inside and still had plenty of room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for our family We have purchased a few tents in the past that were "so so". What I love about this tent is 1.) Super easy to setup - I have done it on my own without any difficulty. 2.) PLENTY of space to store all of our camping must have's. (we like to bring a lot of "in case" items.) 3.) The zipper is smooth, where as other tents we have purchased the zipper has always caught 4.) Definitely very affordable tent, with outstanding quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for tall people I let my husband choose this tent. He is tall and complains that changing clothes inside the tent is near impossible. He also hates the lengthy setup of camp. I have a long history of camping/hiking. So we don't see eye to eye on this one. I understand the standing up part. But with a little exposure to your equipment, camp setup should t be difficult. So here is what I have found using the Rapid 6. 1. Setup, indeed is a breeze. But the tradeoff is in the size of the tent after it's bundled up. It is heavy, bulky, and you must be careful not to set it on the ground, as the retractable tent poles/framework could in fact put a weak spot in the flooring fabric. One setup and breakdown and you will know what I mean. 2. I do not like the zipper design which requires you to change direction of zipper pull in mid stroke. This often times results in the zipper swallowing the fabric. It is not a smooth pull. 3. The rain fly only cover 3 out of 4 sides. Be careful which direction you set your tent up in. And there is no portico space for storing shoes or equipment under the rain fly as it is the entrance side that falls short of rain fly coverage. All in all a good tent ONLY FOR CAR CAMPING!

Will two queen air mattresses fit with room for our clothes? Thanks!

Asked by: JameseysMomma
Yes, two queen air mattresses should fit, and you will still have room at the foot of the beds for space for clothes.

Does the fabric have any waterproof coating? None listed on the specs. How would this tent be in the rain?

Asked by: JEL12
REI Service's answer isn't accurate. The rain fly provides protection on three sides -- two sides of the rainfly always cover the left and right side windows.  The rear portion of the rainfly can cover the rear window of the tent and can be zipped or unzipped depending on if it's raining or not.  If unzipped, the flaps of the rainfly can be tied back to reveal the rear window. There is a fiberglass rod that is inserted into the part of the rainfly that is around the entry door, creating an awning of sorts.

How does this tent perform in windy conditions? Is a footprint available?

Asked by: Eudemonics Institute
A footprint is not available for this tent. It does hold up fairly well to windy conditions, but if you are going to be camping in extremely windy weather, we recommend a mountaineering tent instead:
