Rain Jacket

I love the way it fits to my body. I was very surprised how well it held up to heavy rain. The one flaw or disappointment I have is that the jacket is not made for winter rain season. It's very thin and if you are not wearing a sweater under jacket you will be sorry and freezing cold. For the cost, I would not recommend this jacket for winter rain season. I would recommend for summer rain conditions. Please let customers know so they can make a more informed decision before purchasing. If jacket had a warm lining I would have rated this jacket a 5 star.

I wanted so badly to love this jacket, or even like it. Sadly, I gave up and returned it today. It looks great - very trim and neat if you're in town but streamlined and well-equipped for hiking (I thought). But the little problems started to show with a few wears. The first time I poached myself in it, it was a weird, warmish rainy day so I just assumed it was the weather. Yesterday, I took an easy, 2-mile hike on a sunny, brisk day. The pictures show the top of my lightweight Primaloft vest and the jacket. The vest is soaked through and there are water/sweat droplets still on the inside of the jacket. I gave up. Other notes:The jacket is cut slim and unfortunately the zip doesn't open from the bottom up, so no love for curvy folks or people who sit down. Nice big pockets at the hips, but one at the chest would be very helpful. Finally, the stiff material means it doesn't pack into the pocket easily.

Highly Recommend!

My dad got me this for my birthday, after a long time of me eyeballing it. It's everything I thought it would be, and more! It's great for those rainy/windy days on campus, plus it's cute! I'm a 5'5", 104 pound female, and I got the small. It is loose enough that I can easily fit a hoodie under it for more warmth, but still snug enough that it has a nice shape. It's not super warm because it's really more of a shell, but the fact that it keeps the rain and wind off of you makes it warmer than you'd think. The sleeves, waist, and hood are also adjustable, making for an even nicer fit. The jacket is also long enough that I can wear leggings with it and still have some modesty. Another detail that is quite nice is the few strips of Velcro down the zipper flap, so that it'll lay even better and keep you warmer. Also, the material feels nice against bare skin, something that a lot of rain jackets don't have. The versatility is amazing because I even go running in it, and love how lightweight it is. I wear this jacket almost every day, and highly recommend it!

Don't leave with out it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought an extra one of this rain jacket in this great blue for working outside at home when it rains. I always pack one of these jackets when I travel no matter where I go (Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand in winter, Spain, Italy, France, or a road trip through the US). These jackets are light enough to wear in warm, rainy weather, and great to use to layer over warm clothing in cold weather (I get a size bigger for layering). They are also very give good movement.

I probably wouldn't buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You must have long sleeves underneath or layers at all times or you will freeze. This doesn't provide warmth, just simply blocks rain. My black jacket arrived dirty with white streaks all over that did not wash off. Not sure if it was a prior return.

So unbelievably content with this purchase!

So i purchased this jacket based on my significant other's recommendation since we're hiking up Mt. Herard out in Colorado in a few weeks. Needless to say, i'm so happy i bought this ! I'm 5'1 and weigh 110lbs, chest size 32c. i purchased an XS. I was so afraid this jacket was going to be extremely fitted but once it arrived i could immediately tell it wasn't going to be that way at all. i'm petite so it's a tad roomy but i'm fine with that bc now i definitely have the option to layer it when the cooler weather hits but the jacket by itself is still so comfortable and fits so nicely and is so lightweight. The only "dislike" would be the arm length but i have pretty short arms so this tends to be the case with a lot of jackets.... Fortunately the velcro at the wrists of the sleeves fixes that length issue entirely ! (: i also took that custom sizing test to see what i would be and it told me i should get a Small... which would've been massive on me. Glad i listened to my gut and went with the XS ! But overall i highly recommend this product if you want something that's functional/practical for almost anywhere except the extreme cold.

Inside Peeling Off

I loved this rain jacket but was very disappointed when the inside fabric started peeling and shedding. Unfortunately, I cannot wear it anymore as flakes of the interior fabric shed onto my shirt and it gets messy.

Actually Water Resistant

This jacket is excellent for heavy rainstorms. I took it on a two week trip through Colombia and was caught in several downpours. The jacket kept me completely dry and is very lightweight, so it packs down easily into a backpack. I would add that the medium is a little large for me (I'm 5'4", about 130 lbs), but since it's light I would just be able to wear a sweater or several light layers underneath in colder weather. The hood is also very large and frequently blocked my peripheral vision, but i'd still recommend the jacket to anyone.

super light and waterproof- up to a point

I have had this jacket for 9 months and have worn it hiking in the rain several times. For an hour of light rain it is very waterproof but after several hours of hiking in the rain or after being in heavy rain I found that the jacket was damp inside around the shoulders and also along the cuffs and hand pockets. I think after enough rain the water seeps in through the seams. It is also not very warm as it is not lined, however a base layer helps in cool weather. The fit and comfort are good but I don't recommend it for extended or heavy rain.

Rain Shell

I bought this jacket because I wanted a lightweight packable rain jacket to have in the city and for my FL trip during the summer. Well I get to FL and the rain pours but it really stormed during those afternoon showers. So I threw on this rain coat put on the hoodie and sealed the storm strap. I add a digital camera to the inside pocket walked out into the heavy downpour and stood there feeling cozy and dry (yes I had a sweater underneath) all while heavy rain was pouring on me. I waited a few minutes before walking under a building side shelter and confirmed not a drop entered. Fantastic product so far. I would love to review more gear like this.
