Here's how to deal with the dangling strap
I have owned several of these caps over the years. I have a smaller head and so I have an excess amount of loose strap that needed to be dealt with. The method I use does not deface the cap and can easily be reversed. For those of you who are bothered by the dangling strap, here is how to take care of that:
back adjustment dangles down on smaller heads
I really like everything about this hat except that I have a smaller head and so I adjust this to fit. However, the back adjustment strap then becomes quite long and dangles down with no where to go, even with the little back through loop available. I've been tying it in kind of a knot or slipping it back up into the hat but neither of these solutions feels terribly comfortable or is convenient for adjusting.
Wonderful Town/Hiking/Work-in-the-Yard Cap
What first caught my attention was the cap's light weight and "fit-ability." It is more easily adjustable than any cap I have worn and can be accomplished while remaining on your head. Because of the deep fit and strap system, this cap is not as prone to fly off the head in windy conditions as is the average cap. If you are one to tweak the curvature of the bill, please note, this cap's bill is relatively firm. The cotton/nylon/spandex fabric weave is not too warm in hot weather and dries relatively quickly. A dangling strap can be snugged with the retainer band placed over the 'pull ring'. Another plus in my opinion: the brand name and lettering are not emblazoned on the cap; a tasteful logo patch is positioned off-center.

I hate the trucker hat. I’m losing my hair, so my scalp needs 100% coverage. When my most recent (5 years old) cotton ball cap bit the dust I lamented shopping for a new one. I was lost in a sea of trucker hats. Then, finally, I found the Uberkuhl cap. The cap fits great. I love the style - my wife has commented on how nice it looks several times. It has a dignified simplicity suitable for the mature wearer. Though summer hasn’t arrived yet, I suspect this hat will not retain sweat like my old cotton cap did. If it performs well in the heat, then I may be a KUHL hat guy for life.
