Flattering but questionable durability
I purchased this t-shirt because I wanted something in my wardrobe that could be used for both casual street wear and out on the trail. The shirt feels great to wear and is cut in a way that is flattering for my body shape. However, the first time I wore it I discovered at the end of the day that I had a snag both on my chest and my back. I initially disregarded other reviewers comments about snagging because I didn't think it would happen to me. Now I get to learn how to mend a snag - I hope I can get it to look decent.
Beautiful but fragile
I love everything about this shirt, except for its propensity to snag. I am tall, thin and small-chested, so normally baggy shirts make me look mannish. The cut and fabric on this shirt, though, give it a gorgeous, feminine drape that make it possible to justify spending almost $50 on a simple pocket tee. Unfortunately, the same modal fabric that makes it so beautiful and delicious to wear also makes it very fragile. Mine already has a snag on the back, and I have only washed it once (on delicate, hang-dry), and worn it around the house and around town maybe four times. Treat yourself to this shirt only if you can accept the fact that it will not stay in mint condition for long.
Really Disappointed in Fabric...
I bought a couple of these prana shirts for a grand canyon trip I took last summer, and they lasted for about as long as the trip...two uses. the shirt stretched and sagged halfway through the day if not sooner. After a few washes the shirt pilled and it just got worse from there. Would not buy again nor recommend.
So Disappointing
I bought my first one of these and loved it so much I got it in every color. Unfortunately, even with careful laundering and line drying they have all been delegated to pajama tops. The fabric has tiny pills and stretch out quickly. The fabric also clings oddly to other fabrics and doesn’t stay flowing like they were at the store.
Love this top!
I bought two of these, one coal, one peach, for a hiking trip. I don't usually spend much on tops for outdoor use, but decided to get two of these because I liked the feel of the fabric. When I wore them, I could not get over how comfortable they are! I didn't notice them "snagging" on things like another reviewer. I don't have any complaints about these tops. They are also a very flattering fit. I'm going to try some of the other styles the next time I'm in REI, but they didn't look like the same cut as these.
Holes, pilling
I found this shirt several years ago at REI, they used to be exceptional quality but the last 6 shirts I bought all wore badly, micro holes in each and pilling after only a few wears and washes. They're 50% off which is tempting but I see my problem is literally noted in so many other reviews.
My favorite T-shirt ever
I found this T-shirt last year while browsing through a store. I bought it just because it was so impossibly soft. Everything about the description is accurate. Buttery soft, flattering silhouette, loose and comfy yet NOT boxy at all. It has held up to many washings (bought last year). After owning my first Foundation tee I had to go back this year to buy more colors. I now own 4! I came back to the website today to see what other colors I need to have. My MIL once told me, if you find something you love, buy it in every color. Well, I’m well on my way to taking her advice. Never change this shirt, Prana. You have perfected the t-shirt!
Super cute but don't waste your time
This shirt is super flattering, amazingly soft, and so easy to wear. That is until it snags on everything it touches. I really wish they would have made it out of a more durable material. Love it but had to return it.
Not anywhere near as good as this shirt used to be
I had this shirt in olive green from a few years ago, and that one was a lot better than this one. This one was more clingy and very see-through. The old one would hug you in the right places without being totally form-fitting. I was really disappointed in this new shirt. One thing to mention is that I bought the new one in white. Maybe the color had something to do with the see-through-ness?
Soft and comfortable
I like these v-neck t-shirts, they are super soft and comfy. They are a bit loose fitting at the body which is ok although I prefer the slightly more fit but not snug fit of previous years T-shirts. I've worn Prana t-shirts for probably 10 years. My favorite was a Manadala from probably 8-10 years ago. I still have it holes and all. Then they went to the super thin which fit well but I had to wear a cami under if wearing for work. This current Foundation t-shirt is super soft but over the past year have noticed that they pill. Bummer as they are otherwise in good shape but can't wear them for work when they start looking ratty.
