Rated 5 out of 5 by from I own 5 pairs I am a bigger guy, 40 waist and 29 leg. These still fit well enough to look dressy or hike and work as well. I am in South Louisiana and wear these almost exclusively . They breath, and stretch well. I have worn them for 4 days straight cutting trails and hunting even cutting wood. They still after 2 years look like new. This is the honest to god truth. The seams are solid, the belt loops are tough. They dry quickly if soaked. Do not show wrinkles if that matters. They are articulated and cut well enough for modestly endowed guys, but if you are the talk of the bar on the weekend, be prepared to print some if that matters to you. They are cut so you do not snag on things as you hike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Function and look great I’m a Harbor Pilot in the Navy and spend quite a bit of time in inclement weather while piloting ships and barges. It’s a full contact sport with lots of contact with workboats, ladders, line, saltwater and working on deck. They flex, dry quickly, withstand minor scrapes and long hours while looking formal enough to wear while working alongside senior officers and crew onboard ships. The belt loops are wide enough to accommodate a rigger’s belt with enough pocket space to carry the things I need on the job. Well thought out with maximum utility and aesthetics. $80 is steep but worth it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very light.. but tight across the front You can pretty much tell, from the image, that these things don't have much room through the things and mid-section. They are almost like tights across your lap. They are comfortable but a little too snug. They tend to bind a little near the pockets and might not hold up well over the long haul because of the "slim fit" I'm a pretty slim built person. 6', 180lbs with thin legs and I had to return these pants because of the way they fit across the hips/thighs/fly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from quandary pants I’ve had these pants for a month now give or take, worn them out and about and on a couple short hikes and overall I enjoy them. The only quarrel that I have was the sizing. I’m not an overly large guy, 5’10” 170 and I typically wear a 30 waist but with these pants the 30 waist was constructing and tight through the seat and thighs, it offered little in the way of flexibility or mobility so I sized up to the 32. The waist is loose, easily remedied with a good belt, and the pants fit exponentially better through the seat and thighs. Overall I like these pants and will buy again in the future

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good stuff I really like these pants. They're absolutely wrinkle-free, so I wear them to my fairly casual office. They are light and cool, much like the similar Prana pants that I also like a lot. The material seems to be stain resistant, and the overall quality level feels quite high. I haven't hiked in them, but wouldn't hesitate to do so. Much more comfortable than jeans, I definitely recommend these pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice pants I have four pairs of the 2016 Quandary pants/shorts (two each). I like them, a lot. I've worn the pants regularly here in Hawaii and find them to extremely comfortable. Prefect brown color and the fabric is comfortable (both temperature and stretch wise). The two things that kinda bugged me were the unsecured pockets and the look of the thigh pocket. So when I saw this years had a zippered rear pocket and revised thigh pocket, I figured it was 'winner winner chicken dinner' time'. Bought a pair of the tan pants in a 32. They're different than my other pairs. There's now a draw string inside the waist band (and different waist band material). Ehhh...guess that's a plus? The zippered left rear butt pocket is....nice. But I would have preferred right size zipper. There's a non-locking zipper head with a small piece of reflective string. The redone thigh pocket is bigger. Can stick my iphone 6 with a case in it. Gone is the outside stitching that made it look a little unusual. Same zipper head as the rear pocket. I've found that this is the thing that bugs me the most. The head doesn't lock like the older version and it rattles. I took the pull string off because without the pants are slightly dressier. I've put it back on and hope it will keep the zipper tab a little quieter. To me, the zipper head change is an odd choice. Still a great pant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants These pants have been great, I have worn them quite a bit over the past several weeks. My experience while hiking is that they do keep your legs warm in cool weather and out of the sun to avoid burns. My one critique is they can be a little bit tight around the crotch. I have enjoyed the feel of the material, water resistance, and am impressed with the tear resistance of the material. Would buy again.

What is the weight of these pants?  And why are terms like "lightweight" used in the descriptions when the actual weight is not given?  I see over and over again that your members (like me) have to keep asking the same question regarding merchandise.

Asked by: Light Weight Backpacker
These pants weigh 11.2 ounces.
