Great invention

Since I started using tire liners in conjunction with Slime tubes I have been essentially flat-free on my road bike; even though some of my travels take me out along the highway where thin wire from blown-out truck tires abound. This encouraged me to do the same thing on my mountain bike--especially since I live in Tucson where cacti thrive quite nicely!

Shredded my inner tubes

If it wasn't for the fact that my inner tubes were slime filled my tires would have kept losing air pressure. On my back tire I noticed sealant leaking through a gash in the side wall. When I finally removed the tire, there were rips and tears all around my inner tube from where the liner was rubbing against the tube. One spot the gash was so huge I could poke my finger through it. My tires are tubeless ready, so even with all the holes in my inner tube my tires did not lose any pressure. But, these liners are not worth the extra weight they add to my tires.

Flats Are Inevitable

I bought these about 2.5 years ago and rode them for about 1900 miles on mostly country roads and some gravel using road tires and Slime tubes. On every ride I see barb wire, thorns, broken glass, metal fragments, and other debris that I try to avoid, but sometimes can't. Even with slime tubes, prior to the installation of these liners I would frequently get flats. So, no problems until two weeks ago when the Slime started leaking out. The cause: the point where the liner overlaps itself and creates a 1 mm step wore through the tube and caused it to leak. Why can't they taper the ends of these liners? I will buy another set, but it is a little disappointing that a product that helped prevent so many tube replacements can't be improved to avoid this remaining issue.

No more flats!

Well so far they have helped with not getting a flat tire every time I go on a ride. Let's see how they hold up in about 11 more months for a whole year worth of riding.

No flats

Since I started double tubing my mountain bike tires plus Rhinodillos tire liners I have not had any flats. The combination works.
